Attendances are up for all sorts of reasons, agreed, but they might be up more if there were no vpn's, streams, ifollow. We just don't know. Adding a further, legitimate option to watch from home would, in my opinion, encourage some people who currently go to games to watch from home instead. I think we've reached an impasse in this particular debate, I've stated my opinion and why I think that, could be wrong, but there it is. I'm done now.
I understand the reason the rule was brought in but I have never agreed that someone would not go and watch Pickering Town because Hull City is available for a tenner on tv at the same time. It is the job of Pickering to make their experience better than sitting in your living room watching a tv game.
Looks like ifollow is gonna made redundant,at least in this country….https://www.skysports.com/share/12873679
Sky have just increased what they pay the EFL massively, money they have taken from other sports including Rugby League which will likely see clubs go bust in that sport such is the amount of the reduction that is currently on the table. I make you right that because of that the amount of red button and live games is likely to increase and leave ifollow with far less 'exclusive' options however for clubs outside the Championship Ifollow could still be a massive asset in my opinion. When Barrow host Plymouth I am sure they would much rather have 500 x £10 from non travelling Plymouth fans than not show it at 3pm and have 40 from Devon in the stands.
Plymouth is the worst possible example, despite the ridiculous distances they have to travel for almost all their games, their travelling support has averaged over 1,500 this season.
I think the block is back to front. 3pm Saturday games are generally the easiest to travel to, so showing them live should have less impact on attendances than an earlier or later kick off on a Saturday or a midweek game.
Fair point. Maybe ifollow is a waste of time after all then if all of the fans are going to watch them live home and away.
First of all I was thinking that you meant some of us wont be here(lol). I know I am getting slow as I age. Then realized we will be repeating City 3 London 0.
I used to pay my tenner and watch city’s games on ifollow but then the OWS stopped me logging in sod em I’ve saved my tenner now and watch en on either iptv or dodgy stream
