The point is they wern't into any type of football under Marsche or garcia and they were both clueless on what to do with this bunch of misfits, however we now have a manager with a shed load of experience on not only handling players but top league survival, maybe just maybe he can galvanise them into a proper footballing unit in his own image, whether he has time this season i doubt it, however if he does pull it off, no doubt all Leeds fans everywhere will be singing his praises, but sam will have to hit the ground running, and a fighting performance tomorrow will go a long way to see where we will be playing next season. Good luck to him. MOT
At least we won’t be tippy tapping the ball around at the back. Our defenders aren’t good enough for that, and never have been. More likely to give a goal away playing like that than start an attack. That doesn’t mean we should just lump it all the way up the pitch to their keeper. Need to play it up to Bamford, Rodrigo etc around the halfway line to hold it up for the midfield runners. Easy old game
Sam did say his system will be ever so reliant on Bamford holding the ball up, ready to bring others into the game.
Not a chance mate. He likes a big strong man up front, he has Bamford. He likes two no nonsense centre backs, none of ours can head a ball. He likes big physical midfielders, enough said. The only positive is that I don’t see that three stone ringing wet Aaronson getting on the pitch.
