Off to watch the Inspiral Carpets on Fri 26th May and was wondering what there is to do after the gig finishes at 11pm. Went to Uni in Hull 15 years ago and loved my time there. Not been since but back then it would usually be either Welly, Piper or Spiders. Anywhere open late that might have a bit of indie or alternative music? Good luck next season Tigers!
A joke's a joke, but recommending Moderation is a pantomime. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Adelphi might well be shut by time he gets there, as for Polar Bear, it basically only opens on a tuesday night for Sesh and as a late saturday night dj thing with the odd exception of when they have a paid gig on. Took 17k of money off the good folk of Hull constantly saying the venue was for the community then never actaully open when the local community or others may want to use it, it's nothing more than a play toy for the hipsters running the place !
I'm jealous of the Inspiral Carpets gig. I'd love to see them again. Did know they were touring until I read this.
Don't be, I saw them support the Monday's and they were cack, without Tom Hingley they're little more than a mediocre tribute band. (Sorry FDTR)
Underrated band the Inspiral Carpets ‘Life’ is a brilliant album also love most of the ‘Beast Inside’
Thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated! Moderation sounds good but online says it closes at 10pm each night. Think I’ll just have a wander round and if no luck then it’ll have to be the hotel bar!
Ebenezer Morley's, a few doors down from Moderation, is open until midnight on a Friday. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
