    Match Preview;
Nearly done now lads and lasses, the last one. Such a relief that we go into this game knowing we are safe. Scarily, if results go against us, we could still finish only a place and a place and three points from the relegation zone. Since the departure of some bloke whose name I can't be bothered to remember, in November 2022, our season has plummeted, with Neil Critchley's 12 game stint as manager clocking up only 8 points. A number of the players look distinctively disinterested, and so we go into another break with the need to get rid of a fair amount of dead weight, and start again. So disappointing given how things were going until October...but surely also encouraging that there is potential in this side to do very well.

As for our opposition...in April, City lost three, drew two and won two, and sit 15th, six points ahead of us. Their top scorer is Tommy Conway with 12 goals, one ahead of Nahki Wells. They could drop to 17th with a heavy loss and wins for Stoke and Birmingham.

Honestly, glad this season is over, and we are going into the final game knowing our status is secure, but also so disappointing given what we were hoping for at one point, and how well it was all going. Lots of post-season analysis to come. It'll be interesting to see if the players acknowledge the crowd at the final whistle, and what the response from the crowd will be.

    Team News
QPR: Ossie Kakay and Leon Balogun are definitely out.

Bristol City: Tomas Kalas could be recalled following his recent injury. Anis Mehmeti and Kane Wilson may also return.

    Pre-match Talk
Gareth Ainsworth (QPR head coach): "Once that whistle goes and you are in that zone, you just want to win and we will be going out to do everything we can to win on Monday.

"I want to send the fans home happy, whether that is seeing the effort from the players or the result that comes with it.

"I have a lot of respect for Nigel Pearson, he is a very good guy in football and his team are a very good side."

Nigel Pearson (Bristol City manager): "QPR have had a really difficult time and, from nowhere, have picked up some results.

"Whoever starts for us, the expectation will be exactly the same - I want us to go out there and put on a really good performance.

"What we need to do is finish the season with a positive performance."

Enjoy if you can make it to HQ and as always...

    ...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!

Thanks for the effort over the year Dave.

I'm planning on going earlier than usual, grab some food and soak in the relaxed atmosphere.

An end to a crazy season.

Our finale, after a totally miserable season hopefully our own Coronation of sorts, culminating in a totally unexpected three game win streak and not just another Manic Monday (Bangles)!

Going but under no illusion this season has been a disaster and without a serious overhaul so will next season. Not at all convinced GA has earned himself another season.

Wasted twenty on us finishing in the top six this season
Hope the twenty I put on us being relegated next season is equally wasted

Cheers Dave for all the effort put in <applause> <applause>

Have a great day everyone, enjoy the game without the pressure. Let’s hope we can finish off the season with a triple ‘W’ in the form table.

    Don’t forget to sing-a-long with GA <monster>

Thanks Dave for your efforts each week in posting the write up.

Were safe now so l'm expecting a 'Critchley' effort this game.
We survived, we get to go again.

    Cheers Dave.

If you ever have a family outing to Loftus Road please let me know in advance, it would be a pleasure to buy your mob a beer. Or may be even a beer each…..

Group Haka for the fans pre-match? Ten goal feast in the sunshine with us scoring 6 and Nakhi Wells scoring all 4 for them. The again it could be 0-0 with nobody at all bothered to put in a performance

It would be nice to keep the good feeling of the last few games going but we don't want to paper over the cracks of a disappointing season. Best thing for me would be Armstrong to be fit and to get his first goal.

Yes, thanks very much Dave for your efforts in researching and preparing these match summaries. Back in the day I recall my Dad bringing me to Ashton Gate to watch the R's and we lost both matches, so a 3rd win on the trot for us would be sweet revenge and cap off an absolutely horrible season for us.

If I was on Mastermind (lol) my specialist subject would be QPR in the noughties and I have no recollection of Aaron Brown at all.

We have a bit of a family outing for this one. Me and my son as usual, but also my daughter is bringing my two grandsons. There's more though, as my son is bringing his girlfriend whom none of us has yet met. She must have it bad to agree to go to QPR.

I took my girlfriend to see AC Milan v Napoli in 1991. Gullit, Van Basten, Maldini, Maradona…..4-1 to Milan.

Next game was QPR v Nottingham Trees, 1-1 1994/5. We were married by then. She hasn’t been since, it was dire.

Next game we went to together was Ipswich away...£80 for two tickets on the door...lost 3-0. Anyway, this is turning into the 'worst experiences taking a significant other to the football' thread...good news is, Stroller junior's girlfriend is going to see a stonking win to end the season, get the QPR bug, and become a Ranger for life.
