Rads now simply a 49ers puppet hoping they will buy him out. If we go down he is screwed and would have to invest the money he made selling his tv rights.
Mate, this is why we needed to stay up, he won't invest anymore money, all he'll do is sell to balance the books. Go down we're not coming straight back up.
But so what. Go down and some of the young lads not good enough for the pl get their chance and may even want to play for us. Stay in PL and rinse and repeat again next season
Bielsa employed Bielsa re-engineers the grassroots Bielsa first season massive success but just fails to get promotion. Bielsa wins the league at a cantor and wins promotion Bielsa supported with £100m transfer kitty Bielsa has massive success and finishes 9th in the Prem Bielsa not supported in the market Massive injuries destroy the season Bielsa sacked in Feb 2022 The club have been in free-fall ever since so obvious where it went wrong in the summer of 2021, everything done since sacking Bielsa has been a mistake and could set the club back much more than 2 years
All we have left is hope. Look at Woy at Palace. Can Big Sam have the same impact for us??? I doubt it but it's the hope that kills you.
Not sure if some of them are good enough for the Championship either but only time will tell. And if they are and get us back up, then so it goes again another rebuild. Rinse and repeat.
The club were in free fall long before Bielsa was sacked. They should have gone over his head and signed some class but did nothing.
If he sells might the 49ers do so as well. One thing i do know is we can kiss goodbye to a new west stand.
Not sure 49ers would spend big either way but having bought us at a greatly reduced price, they may spend a little if we go down but Radz as hinted if we go down, he'll be staying, which probably means the 49ers pulling the plug on the deal. Back to the disaster that is shared ownership. Stay Up and at least we have a clearer picture on ownership. Its all very much a mess atm.
Jurys out on the 49ers too. They've had a big say in the club over past two seasons you would imagine
Morning all. Not sure if Big Sam is the answer, but I do think that he cant make things any worse. I dont like the idea of us playing his type of football either, but if thats what it takes to keep us up, then I'll back him to the hilt. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES HE SHOULD BE GIVEN THE JOB PERMANENTLY THOUGH. (Even if he does manage to keep us up) Its depressing all of this to think where we are as a club now, after the 'good days' have gone, i.e. post Bielsa. We are a shambles, and Orta has stayed waay past his time. I wonder what the suceess percentage of Orta's signings have been over his time here. Wouldnt surprise me if it was less than 10%.
Could do worse i guess than big Sam, a quality proven manager/coach, didn't do much at WBA, but their again he did inherit a pile of Shi*, this time however he's inheriting a
Leeds United set to part company with director of football Victor Orta please log in to view this image By Phil Hay Leeds United are set to part company with director of football Victor Orta. The relegation-threatened club are expected to dispense with the Spaniard’s services after talks on Monday. Head coach Javi Gracia’s future is also in the balance after a 4-1 weekend defeat to Bournemouth, with Elland Road chiefs considering replacing him with Sam Allardyce. Orta was appointed by chairman Andrea Radrizzani in the summer of 2017 after he took over the club from Massimo Cellino. Leeds are in a relegation for the second successive season and though Orta was responsible for appointing Marcelo Bielsa, he also oversaw the arrival of Jesse Marsch, who was sacked earlier this year. Gracia has been in charge of Leeds for only two months, appointed as Marsch’s successor on an initial deal to the end of the term, but a weak display at Bournemouth and a severe downturn in form appears to have spelled the end of his time in the post. Leeds’ players are due to report back for training on Tuesday morning but the board at Elland Road have spent the past 24 hours considering their next move. The club are out of the drop zone only on goal difference with just four Premier League games remaining. They travel to Manchester City on Saturday, before hosting high-flying Newcastle United the following weekend. The Athletic Football Podcast: Leeds United — how to sink a Premier League team “This isn’t about the decision to sack Marcelo Bielsa, it’s about the decisions they’ve made since…” The Athletic’s Leeds writer Phil Hay joins senior news reporter Matt Slater and host Ian Irving to reflect on how Leeds got themselves into another relegation scrap this season. The panel discusses the vote of no confidence from the supporters’ advisory board, the viral video, if Javi Gracia will see out the last four games of the season, what being in the Championship would mean for the takeover, and a cautionary tale in how to sink a Premier League football club.
Given the right funding, you know it might just work out, of course depending on where we are next season. if only we could acquire a descent dof to work with sam things could realy be on the up next season, i have a gut feeling the Leeds fans will take to sam, unlike the last two nomarks. Onwards and upwards i say MOT.
