it’ll be simpler tomorrow. But the simplest way of thinking about it is this. Should Blackburn not win tomorrow… if we win, the only thing stopping us from being in the playoffs is if Millwall beat Blackburn AND Coventry get a point from Boro.
yeah as it’s been said Blackburn need a draw tomorrow to keep them interested for the games against millwall
I have a feeling that Roberts' goal yesterday is going to be significant. One of those moments in football where you look back and say "wow, imagine if that hadn't gone in"
I get the idea but football is unpredictable at the best of times, end of season is always crazy. Watford had no reason to foul, cheat, time waste, etc, but they did. Blackburn could go to Millwall, with nothing at stake, and play out of their skins from spite of missing their chance. Everton did just that, in 1977, and Wimbledon did it when we were relegated in 1997. Absolutely anything can happen.
Quick question assuming we get in the playoffs would you rather finish 6th and play Luton or 5th and play Boro?
Win, lose or draw next Monday..i'm so please what has happened this season especially when you consider our horrific injury situation. This time last year when we were scrambling to get into the play-offs in league 1, its seems a ridiculous thought that one year later we would be doing the same in the Championship..but well done lads, you've done us and the city proud.
Yip...I was on the pitch celebrating at the end when the Stoke result came through...against Notts County I think.
TO SIMPLIFY.... 1. Assuming we win.....then 2. If Boro beat Coventry we've made it. 3. If Boro don't beat Coventry, then we need to finish above both Millwall AND Blackburn. 4. If Millwall then beat Blackburn we're doomed. 5. If Blackburn draw vs Luton then they cannot finish above us. 6. If Blackburn lose to Luton they have nothing to play for at Millwall. 7. West Brom need a miracle.
I was at the Wimbledon game it was dire. We never looked like scoring so would have gone down even if they didn't score a winner.
You're right but my point is that Wimbledon didn't just lie down even though they were playing away from home and there were more Sunderland supporters. Watford were prepared to cheat, time waste and take bookings on Saturday ... ... no reason to believe Boro or Blackburn will just step aside.
Me too! Dire is right.Vinny Jones taking the piss out of us in the warm-up! Huge turnout from us that day....couldn't see a Wimbledon fan anywhere.
Just watched boro lost a player in the warm up and a man sent off they won’t any more so can’t see them trying to hard against Coventry
Imagine losing 2 games in a row before the playoffs though, and the confidence in the dressing room? It works both ways.
