To clarity it's a cultural change which has seen the team have less interaction with fans when arriving on a matchday. Afterwards when the players leave individually it's down to them on how they choose to treat supporters waiting for selfies etc.

Thanks for that. So what I witnessed at palace was down to the players. I thought so

See Leeds rhinos have conceded 191 points this season, could it be possible that their footballing counterparts could concede more <yikes>
:emoticon-0183-swear will certainly be a lot closer to it after the next two.

Just to play devils advocate. If the players stopped, signed shirts, posed for selfies etc. some would turn on them and say that they didn’t care, shouldn’t be laughing / smiling after being beaten. Either way they get criticised. Of course winning means that issue goes away.

Cooper hasnt played half our fixtures for two seasons and injured yet again after only just coming back. His season is over and no chance of him managing a punishing 40 odd games in the champs. We also talk about his leadership but it didn’t work last season or this so think we need to look elsewhere

If I was a player I'd stop, sign autographs, take selfies and spend the entire time apologising for the performances and saying we are working hard at training. Who knows, it might even help players understand what it means to some fans.

Sometimes you have to take responsibility for your actions. To stand and face those fans and converse with them is the right thing to do.

I remember Keegan selling Cole and the fans turning on him. What did he do? He stood on the steps of St James Park and listened to their frustrations and then answered them. There were 100's of fans there demanding answers. He took full responsibility for the sale and gave an explanation. That's a real man right there.

They nearly all had their heads down looking at their phones, their mobile devices obviously more important to them and not a sign of being focussed, no eye contact with the fans. The young lad waiting to speak to his hero being totally ignored, the large headphones on making a statement of don’t try and speak to me. I know you’re only playing devils advocate but imagine if Bielsa was still with us, would he walk along making zero eye contact and not managing even a smile for those fans standing there
