Trust me, Brighton are finished shortly. European football plus player and manager poaching will do the same as it did to us. It's a cycle, and without being bought by a nation state, no club of Brighton's size can avoid it. But they've got an amazing scouting network and backroom staff? That'll all be dismantled too. We are just way ahead of them in the cycle, and will be back top of the south coast tree (small as it is) eventually.
Love Perraud. Might not be the best defender we've had, but he is a passionate lad and he leaves it all out there. He's had a tough time at Saints so far, just trying to hold down a place in the team, let alone that team being as crap and passionless as it is. Would really like to see him playing in a proper organised, attacking football team. Really, really hope we can hold on to him. Can't see that he'll be hot property, especially as we'd likely want 15m+ for him. Maybe the likes of Burnley will want him, as I think their left-back was a loanee from Chelsea this season (Maatsen). Him and Livramento as starting full backs next season would give me optimism.
Cannot understand the hate for him. As you say he always gives 100% and has quite good ability. Was treated badly by all managers here I think.
All this, but I think Tino should be further up the pitch, but we’ll see. I enjoyed his fearless attacking when he first arrived
Totally agree. He might be limited defensively but he’s much less of a liability than AMN. I assume Bree is too. Can’t really understand playing AMN and Lyanco at full back when we have legitimate full back options
Doesn't help the full backs either when the manager can't settle on who to play in front of them. This is another reason why Redmond was a big loss this season. Redders and Bertrand used to link up so well at times, and that sort of knowledge and understanding needs to be passed on. If you just lump new faces together every game you'll struggle for any cohesion.
I've always thought that KWP and Stuey are the best combination on the right. The latter only started losing his form after he was in and out of the side in the last year or so.
It has nothing to do with the season.. Everyone can see plain as day how the season has gone, but very few react in such a consistently tedious manner. It's akin to my 11 year old cousin who has always had either the best or the worst day ever.
We get battered every week. I’m here to discuss saints. It is tedious, sure. But blame the club not me you freak
In this clusterfuck of a season culminating in our worst ever PL finish, I’d put the kit pretty low in my list of grievances
We did. Pompey claimed they sent us down by losing to West Brom, but we would have been relegated anyway. This year no one can claim to send us down other than ourselves and Nathan Jones. Yep I wont let that lie. Ever.
