It would be interesting to hear their perspective on the current potential purchasers. Sir Jim Ratcliffe is seen as the "good guy" to the British media. He's British, has knighthood, is a Manchester United fan and a local lad "done good". However, he's willing to let the Glazers keep some of their shares and there's a huge suggestion that buying such a big club is just the most ambitious purchase in his attempt to Sports wash his company or "Green wash" more specifically. Then of course there's the Qatari Sheikh Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, which is QSI (the PSG owners) by another name, or more simply, the Qatari Royal Family. They're offering to buy the club outright for a world record fee that will split the fanbase. There are those that will accept anything to get back on top. There will be others who have concerns. The Premier League having a club owned by the Saudi Royal family, The Qatari Royal Family and the UAE Royal Family is awful for sport, for politics and for the world in my opinion. I'm not sure Jim Ratcliffe and his disregard and lobbying against the Environment in the name of greed is any better though. It's pretty grim that we're in an era where these are the only kind of people that can afford football clubs. Man United will be a trinket, a plaything and a useful tool for their next owner. But I think Man United fans would rather that, than continue to be a cash cow for their current owners.
No shots on target for Newcastle against the bottom team and 1-0 down ... ... second half just started.
Sky commentators on the Alvarez goal ... ... 'One of the finest individual goals this season'. F**k off man, that's just a lazy obvious comment. It wasn't even close to the goal by Roberts yesterday.
It’s the rhetoric they trot out. Good finish. Decent goal, but, as you say, not even as good as Robert’s yesterday. 5live said best you’ll see this weekend. My guess is it’s the only game they’ve watched this weekend - or they mean best you’ll see at Fulham this weekend
I'm not too sure, he came from Bristol City but didn't play a great deal. Might have been before covid.
