they are but just not in a way that affects us. If they win their two games and we lose or draw, Blackburn lose on Monday but then beat millwall, then West Brom take the last spot.
Anybody else pleased that going into the final day we have become the underdogs again? I know it sounds mental but whilst my brain knows it’s completely illogical, I almost prefer this to being in the box seat
And are currently 16th, can finish no higher than 15th, but as low as 17th. Last season they finished 14th.... To me at best they've stood still if not gone backwards slightly.
I predicted us to go up this year at the start of the season, blind faith and optimism, maybe!? I've not really believed it since Jan. Today, I was writing their obituary on 90 mins and then that! I would say it's still unlikely it will make a difference, but the fact they've taken it to the last game with promotion still to play for is massive moving forwards, whatever happens. Tremendous. What a team.
F**k off you absolute clown. Nothing can stop me smiling today. We didn't win but we've got a team and club to be proud of. Haven't enjoyed a season so much since the Reid era. Cant wait to see what's next. Well done lads roll on next week and next season. This club is on the up. 5 year's time teams will be trying to emulate the Sunderland way.
that Roberts goal might just saved our chance as had to rely on Blackburn beating Millwall now we can still catch Coventry on goal different if the smog do us a favour last game
Thrilled that we snatched a point. The lads didn’t deserve to lose and produced the magic moment at the end there, for them and the crowd. Superb that we sold out as well. The rumbling momentum continues.
Yeah he was at the front, didn't smile once when he came in front of the NS. Fwiw and just my opinion I've thought for a while now he'll be off.
