At the end of the evening, there will have 6 points to play for all the way down to Shrewsbury in 13th, who, along with 3 other bottom half teams, play their 44th game in the middle of next week. Nothing can be definitely decided between the top 3 tonight

By virtue of a better goal difference, if Barnsley get at least a draw at Ipswich, they can still overhaul Argyle if Argyle lose. However, a point for both Barnsley and Argyle would leave the points totals at 93 versus 86 with two to play, meaning Argyle would only then need to worry about Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday, although that's enough to be going on with.

If Barnsley lose, they could still overhaul Sheffield Wednesday if the latter only manages only one draw from their remaining 2 games. However, Ipswich currently have a 6 point and 19 goal difference advantage over Barnsley so if Barnsley lose, they can't catch Ipswich. If they draw, they can theoretically overhaul Ipswich but they'd need to score monumental numbers of goals.

Equally, at the bottom, even if Accrington lose as we say they will, and Oxford win, then Accrington are down but Oxford aren't safe from either Morecambe or Cambridge.



Joe demonstrates his high rank in the Green Army by showing no fear and putting his joker on Argyle. The rest of us plump for Bolton, which does look like a one-way bet.

Some of last night's scores were unexpected - at least by us. Nobody expected Ipswich to win at Barnsley and certainly not by 4 goals. Nobody expected Accrington to beat Bolton and we were so sure, nearly all of us put a joker on it. Only SMH got much right at all really by correctly predicting Argyle would win 2-0.

Biggest other scores were the goal times: both Lyndhurst and Plym went for 46 minutes against the 51 minutes actual.



A few deckchairs were moved about on the Titanic: I'm back to 7th and Lyndhurst overtakes Sensible.



There's a full programme at 3pm on Saturday. In an effort not to suggest it might be special in any way, we'll go for normal rules and then we'll have a points blow-out on the final day on Coronation Sunday.

There is a game on each of Tuesday and Wednesday, If you want to give scores for those now, please do so, keeping them separate so I don't enter the wrong thing, but in any event, I won't score them until Thursday.
