You're only as good as your last game.

Liverpool at Anfield has been as consistently a 'bad day' as any fixture over my 60 years of following Spurs.
However, there have been a few individual and team performances that have lightened the mood over the years.
So....what is the best memory you have of this fixture (League or Cup)?

I start with Pat Jennings two penalty saves in the game 50 years ago, back in March 1973!

I was there the last time we beat them at Anfield (think it was the last time anyway) - Modric and van der Vaart the scorers. So that would probably be mine.

Horror ground and club for us, saying they’re our bogey team would be a massive understatement.

Should we count the Merseyful of boiled piss that Erik Lamela caused...?

Wanyamas goal in that game would also be included in the better memories at Anfield

    And this game too

That match was the full gamut for Spurs

    - Head against desk after conceding after three minutes
    - Elation when Wanyama's thunderbastard went in
    - Confusion when we were awarded a penalty at Anfield
    - Rage when H missed a late pen
    - Doublerage when Salah scored a 91st minute (apparent) winner
    - Belief that I was in a coma when we were awarded a second penalty at Anfield
    - Joy when, this time, H slotted it in
    - Hilarity when Mousers were howling about Lamela at the final whistle
    - Hilarity when Mousers were howling about Lamela for several days afterwards
    - Hilarity when Mousers were howling about Lamela for several weeks afterwards

Several *weeks*? It was much much longer.

Haven't they even had a pen against us under the same circumstances in a more recent match? By logic they should have said that clearly that wasn't a pen as well, but instead they took and and still go on about the Lamela one.

My grandfather witnessed many great Spurs
things over his lifetime, but even he did not
live to see a simple thing such as this ...

Just seen the team selection. Looks like Mason is continuing with Conte’s selection and formation. He obviously doesn’t read this forum.
