Underperforming? That's feckin' relegation form - we're just lucky that we amassed enough points before the WC break.
We've been playing as a charity for most of our opponents in recent times. We just didn't have the shirts!
Personally would've gone with Davies at LWB as he is by far our best option there and adds defensive solidity. After all, we've conceded more goals that all teams apart from the bottom 6. Richarlison is literally a waste of a shirt so I'd either have gone with Danjuma or perhaps Sarr in a 3 man midfield with Kane and Son much closer together as a front two.
I would go with this: Cleaner Program seller, Barman , You, Chick king employee, Levy Burger salesman, Me , Groundsman, Steward , Bloke down the pub , Tout,
I thought good, Mason has had the balls to drop Kulusevski and give Richarlison a start. The Brazilian has been pilloried by all and sundry but has had few opportunities to start. Coming on as a substitute is never the easiest of tasks and only a few players thrive from that position. Many are ready to pick on individuals whereas I would blame the team and the managers rather than individuals. That's not to say that at Newcastle most of them were not dreadful and deserved nothing but this has been coming for some time with Conte's often strange tactics and refusal to give some a chance at all. I am hoping our next manager will be from Northern Europe and ready to play attacking football, the Latin experiment has been a failure for me.
Warm up routine entirely changed. Also players have driven their own cars to the stadium rather than come in a coach.
As long as I got a rest every 5 yards I could still whip down that wing in 15 minutes and after a breather get in a decent cross.
The mad thing is if Spurs somehow finish 5th then you could say they’ve finished above where they should.
I would love to be positive about tonight, but rather foolishly I made a slightly positive post before kick off on Sunday. Neither side are great defensively but with the speed in Uniteds front 3 we really dont have a prayer, and I can see a high scoring game that we lose by a couple. - (cue a dull 0-1)
TBH, given Conte's system collapsed when both Bentancur and Bissouma got injured and removed the creative component entirely, if we finished fifth there would likely be a steward's enquiry
