I don’t even think Arsenal’s game plan was bad. I think they played the occasion more than the match though. They pressed aggressively for like the first 5 minutes, conceded the first goal then just backed off. When Man City are playing like that at their best, I don’t think anyone can beat them. It will be interesting to see how a more experienced manager and squad in Ancelotti and Real handle them in the UCL semi-finals.
8 years ago our out of touch, vindictive ****house owners were charging £50 to watch a game. Hats off to the current owners for getting things sorted.
Didn’t know that decades ago Norway was the first, and for quite a while the only, country innthe world showing live English games. https://12ft.io/proxy?ref=&q=https:...ng-haaland-martin-odegaard-norway-title-race/
The word 'Pele' has been added to the Portuguese dictionary to define someone as unique or out of the ordinary.
It's strange but true. Many are totally obsessive about it. Generational fans as well. Those 70+ support Wolves and Leeds, 40+ are Liverpool and Manchester and younger are Arsenal and Manchester City. The Spanish, Italian and German leagues get next to no interest. Not sure that Davy Wathne is Norways answer to Des Lynam though, unless Lynam got kicked out his job during the #metoo period for grabbing the arses of female production assistants.
Sheffield United donny have the money to pay the players bonuses of between 250k and 400k per man. This on top of late payments to other clubs and salaries. I wonder if they'll get points deducted before they even start next season...
Good piece on us and Rosie here. Liam Rosenior has been quietly sublime for Hull City this season, and people are starting to notice - The72
