It's already in draft. Just bought tickets for Saturday's game against Watford - I am making the trip up to the SoL and pickup up my lad on the way
I've felt like that for the last four games or so, we've had a great season and what will be will be, these lads look like a bunch of kids in a Sunday league just going out and playing with their mates, don't think they know what pressure is if I'm honest. Mind still crapping myself match days but it's under control at present. Think they'll take the next step in their stride, nobody will fancy playing us the way we are at present.
Albion had no answer to our passing game, took a dive and a dodgy decision to get in front but at no time did they dominate us, and that was a team looking to maintain a 13 game unbeaten streak at home, that's how big a win that was for us.
If we end up playing Millwall at Wembley we should have a new chant, 'We are Sunderland, super Sunderland We have no strikers We don't care.'
If that happened and while I'm trying to not get carried away, it could, we might have got into the premiere league on the back of winning SEVEN home games this season.
Think you might be doing Reid a bit of a dis service there mate. There was some wonderful stuff played under him. I get the drinking culture element but that was the most exciting time in 20 years and we’ve still got a while until/if we get to that again. It is very exciting now though. It’s a pleasure to watch us. By the way, for somebody who’s 23 years old, KLD has worked miracles. He must be a special character to be running a club so well at such a young age.
I read that as Spurs can come in with the 6 million but Levy can **** off, I'm stopping here. P.s please no one spoil it for me
Not at all mate, I said it was exciting, just a daft joke not an in depth analysis. My point is that it couldn't last because it's totally dependent on bringing in more experienced players who would fit into that atmosphere. When he brought in the likes of Flo, who had a totally different mentality, it all fell apart. This feels much more stable and professional with a team that changes personnel without losing the team spirit ... ... both exciting teams but this feels like it has a sound future.
Totally right Smug as proved when Quinny was injured coming to the end of his career. We bought Flo and tried to play the same way but Flo preferred the ball on the floor rather than trying to flick it on or bring in down. Quinny retiring finished Reid at Sunderland in my opinion but bloody hell the football was exciting at the time but this feels so much more exciting, we have that many more options going forward
A full and available squad would be quite a prospect imo. If we were finishing too ten and it was announced that we were signing Stewart, Embleton, Ballard, Evans, Huggins, Batth, Eliise, etc, we'd be happy I believe. Knowing we're always capable of scoring means we never give up and that counts. I can't wait for next season, whichever league we're in.
Did they not watch our games before playing us???? @JamesCopley_ please log in to view this image Tony Mowbray says that some of the staff members at West Brom genuinely thought Sunderland had turned up with their youth team ahead of last weekend's game! #SAFC
Aye as a supporter of a championship side you'd like to think that your keeper would have a reasonably in depth knowledge of where to dive for penalties for each possible taker. This is quite far from that. Maybe Tony was being a bit tongue in cheek.
