Frenchie was agin him at the start , yet was prepared to give the benefit of the doubt , however that patience has worn out , If he is to stay as owner we need a professional CEO, if he leaves and sells up or we revert back to LA then we need a new CEO! An owner in these times is the most important thing at the club (or his money is) Having temper Tantrums is no way to conduct business , If we have a viable alternative to turn to ...........
£57m. I've already told the wife that we'll be buying WFC if we win. We'd still have about £50m left, I think I could retire on that.
Can't get them here - our "government" (come to think of it, Baz would be perfect as a Deputy in the Jsy Govt) refuse to allow any lotteries other than the CI one. If it wasn't for the bond monies owed, Baz's behaviour makes the Exeter model very appealing but in these times, how many of us would be able to contribute to something like that?
I'd welcome back anyone, even the lovechild of Mark Ashton and Jack Petchey, provided he or she got rid of this cretin and had nothing to do with this takeover.
Well, well what a turn of events in the last 24 hours or so. Whatever is going to happen next? One thing is clear GT has the measure of the man â âunreliable and acts on a whimâ. We, the fans, have seen as much evidence as we need to know that his assessment is spot-on. So letâs just stand back and review the events of the last few weeks: A fans forum is announced but without any directors or owners. There is a reaction from fans so directors and owners say they will be there. Speculation â directors call Bassini and say you need to be there but donât worry we will come along and hold your hand. On the night of the forum Bassini throws a sicky. He does not call his fellow directors in advance to explain the situation, apologise, ask them to send a message to the fans or brief them on what he would like them to say. So like a teenage (I'm being generous here) child who hasnât done his homework and doesnât want to explain himself in front of the class telling his parents he is really very ill and canât possibly go to school today. The next day tries to explain his actions and nobody believes him. Gets upset. Doesnât get the reaction he wants and says he wonât come out to play anymore, possibly! Who threatens to resign in 24 hours unless you are trying to provoke a reaction. Still doesnât get the reaction he wants so threatens to keep his toys (£1Million) to himself. Starting to realise he is cutting of his nose etc. and has nowhere else to go. Two of his mates (I use the word for effect only) call and tell him to stop being silly. He says I will come out to play after all and I will bring my best toys but I wonât ever talk to that nasty Graham again. Oh dear! A grown up man with the emotional intelligence of a 10 year old owns and runs our football club.
starting to believe in your crystal ball H I said if he reversed his decision his position would be untenable, thus didnt believe he would be a total numpty! wrong!!!
it's madness. But i'm afraid this was a truly obvious move. I fear now that we will lose Graham Taylor earlier than we hoped. I can't see how he can stay if Bassini carries on on the Board...that would be a travesty.
If GT was to go , it becomes important to know if he was shoved or whether he walked ,because of one of the preconditions of the sale of the club reverting back to LA!
Well this is all a bit of an unnecessary mess of politics and bickering amongst those at the top of our heirachy for our club, which does nothing but create uncertainty. This statement is a bit of a relief to hear from Bassini on two accounts: first of all he has set up a phone-in with 3 Counties radio which he simply now cannot pull out of under any circumstances, and second of all he has stated his intent to carry on as owner of the club. At the end of the day, he may come across as an impulsive, petulant person (which is not good if you run a football club), but without his financing we would be struggling and in all sorts of trouble to simply survive. As someone else state, Bassini is pulling the strings at this club, and if he doesnt want to turn up to fans forums, there's not much we can do about it. Good to see Frandsen and Timperly help talk a bit of sense into the man. He is making good his promises to be fair to Bas, but he needs to learn a few lessons about how to run a football club properly.
lol nobody, you know what i mean! lol.. GT is going to go...hopefully not for a long time, but from what he said on Tuesday, it'll be sooner rather than later...and now i think it might be even sooner than sooner...better?
There is no way that GT will kowtow to LB, He does walk the walk and talks the talk. He is being forced out
My gut feeling is that LB is only staying for financial reasons. He will now be even more detached then he was before!
I think it is the case that he has only got involved in the first place for a buck or three.... and let's face it he is a useless business man.... worrying eh...
