As soon as Arsenal were forced into playing Rob Holding at CB, you knew their chances of winning the title were over.
yeah. they have really been a side scaring teams in attack as well so they have ran out of steam imo. it's martinelli and saka every week, every time and I think they have hit the wall. the defensive issues are then writ large.
Arsenal have thrown it, the dopey buggers. It's good to see Chelsea made the right choice in bringing back Fat Frank though.
With Lampard and Chelsea it's a case of enthusiasm outweighing ability. Both he and Gerrard should have done their apprenticeships in the lower leagues (or stayed in Scotland) for a few seasons more to hone their skills before taking on the bigger jobs.
Frank Lampard's last 14 matches as a manager: 0 wins 1 draw 12 losses 7 goals scored 32 goals conceded
This seen this elsewhere... "My Arsenal prediction remains unchanged: - Arsenal are having a Brendan Rodgers 2013-14 season. - Arteta is not the new Klopp. He's the new Brendan Rodgers Mini. He will lose the league by a far bigger margin than Rodgers. Rodgers had Suarez, Arteta has Saka. - The title will end 2-3 games before the final game. Chelsea and Everton will be giving City a Guard of Honor. The title race finished in October after Liverpool 3-3 Brighton. - Arteta is just Guardiola without money. Guardiola will never win a league without superstars and big budgets. - Arsenal could have a disaster next season just like the Brendan Rodgers team and Arteta could get sacked in 2 years. - Without Klopp, Premier League will be finished. Without him, it's a Farmers league, a race for the 2nd. This title race ended in October. More people will realize this soon. None of this makes me happy, those Arsenal fans are amazing and proper Football fans. For me, they are already champions. But the reality of this League is harsh." .... did you write this @moreinjuredthanowen ? I'm 50:50... It sounds like you but I'm also in agreement
Given the money Arsenal have spent, I wouldn't say that Arteta is Guardiola without money. It will be interesting to see if they can keep it up next season. On the one hand, they're mostly a young team that should get better with age and experience. They are reliant on Xhaka and Partey in midfield and Saliba in defence though. Nothing the right transfers can't fix, but they need to get them right. Arteta has definitely improved them (finally), but it remains to be seen at what level. They've not really convinced in the big games yet.
no, I'd never write anything so insulting to another clubs manager. I'd be too busy laughing at them instead. I'd also not insult guardiola like that.
I personally think Arsenal have had a good year but they will struggle to get 90 points. why? they are nowhere near a complete 11. Ramsdale is vastly over rated imo. white is not a rb partly can't keep it up. xhaka is not that good. Gabriel is not that good. I've said many times how much I rate saka and martinelli. imo they are the really key to arsenals good form. odengaard is OK but lightweight and Jesus is just decent. they need to add another 3 or 4 players to compete imo.
The part about Klopp is correct. I'd go as far as to say that without Klopp's Liverpool, the title race is over before it starts and will be as long as both Klopp and Guardiola remain in their posts.
Currently, yes. And it remains to be seen if we can mount a title challenge next season. That said, Arsenal have improved and Man U look to be on the right track; it's possible they'll be thereabouts soon. I think Newcastle will take longer. Cheslea you would assume will get back on track at some point, but the question is how long it will take them.
I really think man utd are absolutely miles off. gk can't pay with his feet and is glued to line rb issues unfit cbs who are past best no 6 is well past best. most creative cm has a pacemaker. no striker I mean to have got what the have got this season they can consider it a massive bonus. arsenal gk massively over rated no rb weak cb in Gabriel and no back up xhaka they've had a great run but the games caught up with them. this back to early season against man utd. utd hit them on break and killed them but they kept chipping back with the intensity of young legs. newcastle are newcastle. 500mil needed there. spurs absolutely pants lloris glug glug sanchez, dier lol chelsea 46 players and no striker. it's a crying shame really that Brighton will get picked off cos they would have a better 11 than have the rich clubs
