After plenty of "typical City" performances through the years, it would be nice to hear the words "typical Swansea" being muttered from the away end on Saturday evening.
They’re still an outside shout for play-offs. They need to win their last two games if they are to have a chance of getting too 6 though so I’m expecting them to go for it.
He was really underrated at MK Dons too. The next big step up for him is to get Swansea to be a top 6 club. I know he doesn't have a big budget so it's not going to be easy and it's how he replaces Manning and probably Piroe too.
I haven't seen much of them but I find them interesting as a team based on their record; having so much possession (far more than we do even with Roseniorball) but until quite recently having such poor results. I'm kind of curious how they manage to concede so many whilst controlling so much of the ball. I know the boomers will be licking their lips at an opportunity to scoff at possession stats but like it or not, it is unusual for a team to dominate the ball so much but still languish in the bottom half as they've been doing. I'm also curious whether Rosenior's longer-term goal is for us to play the same way in terms of having 60%+ possession most games or whether he's happy as we are; being confident in playing out more often than not but still rarely having a game where we totally dominate the ball.
They've conceded more than us this season which is quite crazy when you think about how bad we were under Shota. I've not seen loads of them but it's a young back 4, apart from Manning.
They are certainly on a good run of form but are a bit leaky at the back. So expect a tough game, but if we can keep up our good defensive shape, and exploit their back line then would hope for at least a draw from the game.
My lad’s stepson is a flag bearer for this one, I think he’s taking a pen during the half time break. He’s the one that’s about an inch above the ball lol definitely doesn’t have our genes, he’d be an inch under the cross bar lol
