Blimey, that's a bit radical. Lose all respect after all the good they've done? I'd be surprised if we brought him back for another year, but I'd trust his judgement.

I am in the 'definitely doubt his judgement' if he came back camp....

But you'd have to accept there's probably a reason that they've seen but we haven't on the pitch quite yet.

I can't see it happening though. Unless he costs us virtually nowt and we also bring someone in more competitive for the same position anyway.

Interesting line in there about us having an option to make the loan a permanent...

"He (Rosenior) revealed earlier in the week his intention to keep Darlow at the Tigers, and Hull are believed to be in discussions with Newcastle over making the goalkeeper’s stay at the MKM Stadium permanent – as his loan agreement is believed to have as an option"

Chronicle usually have a pretty close relationship with Newcastle Utd. They generally get more right than wrong.

I don't think he'll come back camp. Could only improve his game if he did though.

I also don’t think he will come back camp. He seems masculine enough at the moment.

I remember the posts on slater, f-in **** get rid etc
Now he’s touted as player of the year, sometimes it just takes a bit of time and patience and they can come good….in Liam I trust…

I once had a double page spread in the chronicle
still got the paper in my study, mind they didn’t know that lads from north shield were on the Gaul when it went down and that it was a big anniversary of its loss.

I think he went through patches where he was anonymous for games. He was also shoehorned in at left-wing and as a #10 which he isn’t suited for. He’s a box-to-box midfielder and he does well carrying the ball and driving forward.

How many players have city fans written off then they've come back to haunt us?

Some who are quick to make blanket judgements never seem to learn.

I’d doubt his judgement (and hope he proved my doubts unfounded) but that doesn’t mean I’d lose any respect for him.
    That’s a very different thing

If we do sell Óscar in the summer, I hope we sign Haji Wright as his replacement. I’d only really want us to accept a bid for Óscar if it was 8 figures though.

Haji Wright was linked with Palace in Jan, seems to have surpassed us now. I’d prefer someone like Jerry Yates, who leads the line well and could transform our attack, similarly to how Carlton Morris transformed Luton’s.

True. Haji Wright is quoted as being worth £8-10 million now after his successful season in Turkey. Signing him would only make sense if we sold Óscar for £12-15 million.

I also heard a rumour we’re interested in a young defensive mid from Turkey called Lamine Diack. He plays for Ankaragücü. Probably bollocks but who knows. We definitely need a defensive mid.

I think we'll be very careful about signing any more players directly from Turkey. The injury record of those we signed last summer has been atrocious.

Unfortunately we are still heavily invested in bringing people in from abroad. The club thinks you get much better value that way, although full in depth reviews on injury records, robustness, physicality and are they up to the demands of the championship are happening first
