That’s sad to hear, I was watching him on Saturday Morning Kitchen a couple of weeks ago and he was hilarious.
Barry Humphries has died aged 89 after being hospitalised earlier this week due to complications from hip surgery. The comedian passed away at Sydney's St Vincent's Hospital surrounded by his immediate family, including his wife of 30 years Lizzie Spender. For weeks the comic had brushed aside concerns about the seriousness of his condition, but on Saturday before midday a spokesperson confirmed he had died
You deleted my post yet you are ok to call someone bonkers. Anyway rip barry Humphries a great comedian
We loved everything that Barry Humphries did - his TV appearances as Edna (later Dame Edna) and Sir Les Patterson were always hilarious and his Barry McKenzie stories were brilliant. We eventually got to see him live as Dame Edna in Sydney in 1919 - a truly memorable night. RIP Bazza
I would imagine there would be a bit of an uproar these days about this brilliant appearance on Parky. I remember laughing like mad when it was originally on. RIP Barry, a very cultured man in real life.
