Just a hypothetical question. Amanda and PIF paid about £330m for us 18 months ago when we were virtually rock bottom. If they decided to cash out now, how much would they be asking? I'm thinking about £1.5bn!! Thoughts?
The signings in last 18 months will have increased overall value of club as will have improvements to training facilities
They have spent about £300m since the came in, but the club was sold purely on th back of it being just profitable and a Premier League team. The facilities at £350m were probably overvalued. The improvements to the ground and the training stuff maybe come to £550m but I haven't seen much to suggest those training ground improvements have finalized. They're paid for but we still mostly go to different countries for training when we have time
Bruno, Botman and Izak are all £100m players. Nick Pope is worth at least £25m, Schar £10m, Tripps £15m, Burn £20m. Willock £50m, Miggy £50m, Joelinton £50m. That's more than £500m on that lot alone. If we finish top four, then I'd suggest that our value must be at least £2bn. It's like comparing the Harrods of NE1 with that shop of 20 miles away known as the Poundland of SR1.
Got to agree with this, it will take time to build the revenue increase in the club and on the pitch in terms of silverware and position in the EPL that will enhance the clubs bottom line value.
One thing that needs improvement at Newcastle is the online store and the supply of kits to sports stores. You can quite honestly not find a Newcastle shirt anywhere apart from the internet and last time I ordered a Newcastle shirt it never turned up. Drop Castor and that shirt sponsor asap
All the Chelsea fans getting on the bandwagon. Plus a few Citeh fans hedging their bets for next season.
If I was running the club shop I'd be going to the owners and saying - "Do you know how mad this lot are? Put a shirt for sale from the 1970's and it'll sell out in a week"! There are currently 2 retro kits available via the club website, have them both and have done for over a season now. They need much better stock management (currently the retros are S/M/L that's your choice, customizable products (mothers/dads day pressies would sell out), tbf there is quite a lot of selection but a broader range of products wouldn't hurt but most importantly - know your market - Castore must go, overpriced ****e and half the time nothing to do with the club, if they put some of their products on for half the price - they'd sell 10 times as much as they do now I'd bet.
