And there’s another one they’ve overlooked thanks to young Dennis and his mates.

It is odd. Everyone likes a long distance strike but if you understand the game then you know that a brilliant team goal is far superior.

I see we didn't get a sniff of any of the awards today? Good, let us keep going under the radar. We know what we're capable of and continue to do. Take today for example, absolutely no reason for the cometary teams on sky or talksport to go on like its a West Brom win nailed on before a ball was kicked, "can the youngsters of Sunderland cope with the intimidating haw thorns", well they clearly haven't been watching us very closely. On our day, and that's been alot this season, we can pass any team to death off the park. Scored some total football goals this season aswell. Yes we've been hummed once or twice, but that comes with a fast tracked learning experience of a young team. Id wager any other team that lost their main goal scorer, experienced holding midfield player and at one point or another,an injury to one of our back four, they would be happy to stay up, never mind knocking on the play offs door.

Alas, no matter what happens this season, its been a success. One thing I'll never wrap my head around this seaon though, this argument that you don't need a striker? Apart from that, cracking season considering id have taken anyone's hand off if they'd offered me a mid table no nonsense boring season in August. Very Proud. Long live the club. FTM and Ha'way the lads.

    Wick.

We didn't even get a player in the Championship team of the season, as others have said keep under the radar and keep on doing what we are and see where it takes us.

I haven't watched the list, but most lists of this type seem to concentrate on tremendous shots from distance.

They're great goals, but most players can score them if the get a bit of space and get a good connection. Even I once scored from thirdy odd yards out with a swing of the boot!

But doing something like say Bergkamp would do, or a fantastic team goal are what I prefer, and we have scored a good few of the latter!

Yeah I agree although I can understand why he is a bit annoyed...

    Alex Scott - 40 games / 1 goal / 5 assists
    Amad - 35 games / 12 goals / 3 assists

Personally I'm not surprised he didn't win considering we don't have a single player in the team of the season, none of our team goals were included in the goal of the season (despite a couple being ridiculous team goals). I didn't even bother looking at the goals as they are probably all 35 yarders and no team goals.

Alex Scott does look class mind, can see a few bids coming on for that kid.

Those statistics of Amed are impressive.
Scott is certain to leave us in the summer.
Any chance Man Utd will loan us Amed next season ? <whistle>
