Good Morning. It's Monday 24th April, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

    Meslier's howlers sink Leeds

Second half goals from Harry Wilson and Andreas Pereira dented Leeds Utd's survival hopes, recording their 17th loss of their campaign at Craven Cottage, on a day to forget, for Illan Meslier.

To their credit, there wasn't must to choose between the teams in the opening half. Leeds were organised at the back and looked dangerous on the break; they certainly weren't playing like a team that were fighting for their lives. Sadly, as the game progressed, they started to unravel.

Fulham's opening goal came on the hour mark, courtesy of a mistake by Meslier. He misjudged Willian's cross, fingertiping the ball to the back post, where Wilson was waiting. With the Leeds defence frozen to the spot, the former Leeds target was afforded the time to let the ball drop, before half volleying the Cottagers into the lead.

Minutes later, they should have doubled their lead, but the woodwork came to Meslier's aid, as Pereira's free kick cannoned off the cross bar with the Frenchman well and truly beaten. The Brazilian wasn't going to be denied for long, doubling the host's lead with twenty minutes remaining.

This time, is was Robinson's turn to attack down the left flank. His speculative cross should have been collected by Meslier, but he could only palm the ball to the feet of Pereira who had an empty net at their disposal.

It was only at this point that Leeds decided to press, and were rewarded with a goal of their own. Summerville and Roca both had good chances before Bamford's close range shot was turned into his own net by Palhinha with eleven minutes, plus ten minutes of injury time still to play.

You'd think that playing against a team that had lost five of their previous six games, Leeds would have been all over the visitors for the final twenty minutes, but in truth was as disjointed as their clothing attire, or as Phil Hay mentioned in his match report was 'like being savaged by a wheelie bin'.

Adams given leave from rehabilitation to go on holiday

Any slim hopes hopes of seeing Tyler Adams back in action this term have been dashed after the Yorkshire Evening Post revealed that he was given leave from his rehabilitation, to visit Lake Como with his partner earlier this month.

The 24yo has been one of the few success stories at Elland Road this season. His dazzling performances
no nonsense attitude and leadership qualities have already made him a fans favourite. In essence, he comes across as the right kind of person to have in the dressing room, when the chips are down.

It was hoped that the USA International would recover in time to play the last couple of matches of the season, but if the club were happy to put his rehabilitation on the back burner, in favour of a holiday, surely it's been ruled out!

    Robles or Meslier

Javi Gracia faces a massive goal keeping dilemma when Leicester City visit Elland Road tomorrow night. It's fair to say that Illan Meslier has had a poor season (by his standards), but his recent displays have cost Leeds dear. The 23yo is obviously short on confidence at the moment; something no fan or Manager wants to see from a shot stopper.

Leeds do have a choice in Joel Robles. The 32yo journeyman joined Leeds on a twelve month contract last Summer, and has been warming the bench ever since. He's made two Cup performances this season, and the odd appearance for the U21's but has not been involved in regular first team action for several years.

Do Leeds persevere with Meslier, or give Robles a chance.

    Morning all.

Too big a game tomorrow night to throw Robles in for me so we'll have to stick with Meslier. The only howler was against Everton really and on another day he might have got a way with those flaps this weekend, should have punched the second one clear though but easy for us to say.

Far too much perambulation from Roca & McKennie in midfield.

Fix that and we might have a chance.

I mentioned on the must stay up thread, I’m just astonished that while the team struggle in a dog fight at the bottom, Adams is allowed to have a holiday in Lake Como. He should be there sharing the pain, cheering his team mates on and giving support.

It just stinks of the wrong message, I’m so disillusioned at the minute with this assembled bunch.

    Sorry morning all

    Morning all

Frankly, I've had enough of this season I'll be honest without into rant mode. I hope we get relegated I really do. I want to see the back of the squad and the manager. We've had 2 years of this BS and now I want us to get relegated and start afresh with a new set of players and a proper manager not s European-style head coach who lets a DOF pick the squad.

I would like to also see a proper manager, so get potter in for next season, he is the sort of guy that i and hopefully the Leeds fans could take to, and most importantly the players, now i know it didn't work out for him at Chelsea, as to many big egos and similar problems but with better players than us, however with us the expectations are lower than champions league football every season, and i think if he brought in some of his own players, as he was (before chelsea) used to working within a budget, things would improve on the pitch.
Also for things to improve i also reluctantly agree with what a lot of you guys are saying that it's about time if we want a new fresh start to give Orta his P45. and get a new recruitment manager in, i bet Potter would also with his work at Brighton, be able to give his input on this ;)
    Anyway good morning everyone

I see nothing wrong with an injured player taking a break. Look at Dallas he must be so depressed with the set backs he has had. Nothing has been said how long Adams will be out and maybe at the moment he needs some rest be it physical or mental. He is facing a long summer to regain fitness and i fully expect him to still be with us next season. Let's face it only one team in the football leagues buys crocked players and that is Leeds Utd.
Perhaps quite a few players will stay if relegated and try for a promotion bonus payout. I am not even having a guess who we keep as Leeds will probably do the opposite. Greenwood and Aaronson could go for me and struijk.

I'd love to see Potter but it's a pipe dream simple as that. I wouldn't be surprised if he's waiting for a team like West Ham to come up or even Spurs. We all know how good he is. Spurs tried to get him a couple of years ago and wouldn't be surprised if they go for him again, especially after yesterday. There would be no pressure on him.

16 years last time mate, 16 long years. Having teams like Norwich and Bournemouth poaching our better players. Seen that movie thanks. That said I think you’ll get your wish with this gutless bunch and lack of fight.

That’s was mainly as a result of mismanagement of a chronic level. This time it will be different as we’re perfectly setup to handle it according to Kinnear

If it’s not Poch, I suspect Brendan Rogers might get it. Potter to West Ham is a good shout as his next move if they decide to move on from Moyes, who I wouldn’t mind coming to us particularly if we go down. Think he would get us straight back up.

Moyes did well at preston. Man utd job he never should have taken. Rodgers would be a good fit. I do not want to see any non british coaches they do not work at leeds now after Bielsa.
