His goal v Huddersfield (not to mention his 1st touch) and that shot that was deflected behind today showed his technical ability. I'm not sure Broadhead is even Championship standard - he certainly doesn't seem to think he is
I do like Broadhead he's a neat finisher but Gelhardt is five years younger, already playing for a better team a full division above him and he's got something I'm not sure Broadhead has, balls. He's a better player no doubt.
Huge set of balls. I reckon he was aware of the grumbling from our fans, hence 09 coming out in his defence. He even got dropped for a bit! But through all of that his head hasn't dropped any his workmate and effort has been excellent, now he is turning in some good performances. Today he got kicked to **** some players would hide as a result the lad kept going and ran himself into the ground today. Huge heart on the lad and he will have a very good career as he clearly has the right attitude!
I think he likes being assaulted in a way, he's the kind of player that uses it as fuel. As you say his head hasn't dropped regardless of what's happened. He's a tough nut.
I'm in no way comparing the two of them ability wise but Gelhardt's style is reminiscent of Wayne Rooney. He's not an out and out striker, play him off another striker and he could become a key playmaker.
I know what you're saying re work rate but his assists and goals over the course his time here are very low.
Be an interesting one. I think Broadhead would have been class for us this season but he didn't back himself. Real shame. Tearing it up at the top of league one at the minute. Just having watched both, I would prefer Broadhead. Far better end product.
Thats exactly what my son's boss says, Leeds season ticket holder, he has a very high opinion of him.
Could be the perfect replacement for Pritchard if he leaves this summer, definitely not an out and out striker but Pritchard's position would suit him I think.
1 in 2 record for us I think he would have thrived in this squad with the amount of chances created easily 20+ which would have had us extremely comfortable near top. Again just my opinion. I also feel our fully fit squad would have walked this league or been a very close second behind Burnley.
Walk the league or close 2nd, not too sure of that. It has been the injuries that allowed the young lads to come in with a hunger to succeed. Its something we will never know.
Not all of them sadly! Still hear “not good enough “ and other stupid ramblings but then I hear the same about Ba, and others. People forget these lads are still kids. My son is still at 6th firm and older than some of them!!
Yes but he is coming good now. He's taken a bit of time to settle down but he is now looking like the player we thought we were getting in January
I'd have him in a heartbeat. Great young player only going to get better, would of loved to have seen him play just behind Stewart
Agreed, he has all the attributes to be a class no10 Leeds fans at my work love the lad, keep asking me every week how hes doing. Nice that i can finally say hes showing glimpses of his potential
