    Just seen this on Twitter.

“An emergency alert has just gone off on my mobile phone at 3:00 PM.

I think it was from Spurs desperately asking for help”

I'm going, so that's guaranteed. Rotherham 1-1, Blackpool 3-1, Millwall 3-0, QPR 1-0, Reading 2-2, away in the league are the games I've attended. Not seen us win away since April 2019.

Morris would have not go away with that dive in the Premier league with VAR about.

    Best description of Spurs defence

A Riverdance group with their hands behind their back and legs flailing in every direction except towards the ball

At the other end of the footballing spectrum Concord Rangers (National League South) are required to play 2 matches this week - as well as playing last saturday and next saturday they have to play tonight (away to Dulwich Hamlet) and also on thursday night at home to Havant and Waterlooville. Apparently this is considered ok. for semi professionals with a small squad and other jobs ! Schedules like this would break the pampered players of the upper levels. With some distances in this league (Taunton to Chelmsford for example) midweek games involve players travelling back on the same day by coach and arriving back at 5am - unbelievable !

Maybe it should be organized a bit like the National League here in France. This is the third tier of football, and has a mixture of full time and part-time professionals. The division has 18 teams only, so spread out over the season it is rare for a backlog of fixtures. Normally, games are played on a Friday evening, but one game is played on a Monday for TV. At least it gives players a few days to recover. As the distances are really large between some grounds, you find that teams travel the day before a game, and have a night in a hotel before the game. Do teams in the English National league really need to play 46 games a season?

It truly must be hard on the players - I can remember how hard it was as a fan getting back from midweek games at that time. Mind you, copious amounts of alcohol did help...

Wet Spam won the FA Youth cup tonight, beating Arsenal 5-1 in the final. Makes me glad Arsenal knocked us out really - I hate to think what the Hammers would have done to us...

I agree that the leagues are too big at that level Frenchie - it's not just those 46 games but these clubs are also involved in more cup competitions (4 in Taunton's case) and this coupled with the fact that bad weather leads to more postponements at that level can lead to massive backlogs of games. Those clubs with artificial pitches (allowed at this level) have a slight advantage there - but they would have to replace them with grass if promoted.

They're a bit good by all accounts that young West Ham side. Won the league with games to spare I hear.

Train strike on the same day as the FA Cup final - no surprise there.

    Probably would have been targeted.

The fight to avoid the last spot is getting interesting - my money's on Rotherham to go down.
