I'm not sure all that many people will be losing sleep over Toby Steele getting the elbow. Martin Semmens now pretty much the only one left... the last domino or will he stay on?
Bit of Tiss love. The best team never to play CL football - https://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/best-premier-league-xi-never-play-champions-league-football
I really don’t know enough about all these people to make much of a judgement but if recruitment of players and managers, and the somewhat high-handed approach towards fans is anything to go by, maybe a clear out is what’s required before we can get back to being Saints.
Yeah, Toby Steele has overseen the steady decline of our club since the high watermark in 2016 (the year that he joined us). Changes at the top doesn't always mean the club is in terminal decline though and a fresh approach and ideas could be a turning point for us.
Rasmus clearly has had success at other clubs where he has been part of the board, just not the football guy. With Joe Shields and can’t remember the other guys name (Crocker?) leaving that is what our Rasmus into a job he obviously isn’t any good at and what has caused the relegation this year.
As clichéd as it is, I'm definitely separating the art from the artist. Le God was the greatest footballer to have ever put on our red and white stripes. He has blotted his copy book a bit with his twitter stuff but I will always love him.
Steve Cooper was head coach at Swansea and head coach at Nottingham Forest and is a decent hands-on coach who likes to work with young players and leave recruitment to other people.... *clutches*
14 years ago today relegation to league 1 was the best case scenario. Puts things into perspective with our current relegation.
I've not seen much of Stoke this season, but my understanding is that he's been used a lot in the number 10 role. Assuming that we retain him and Alcarez, it'll be interesting how we fit them both in. I suppose one other is to continue with 4-2-2-2.
