I think that after the trials of 7 the past 8 months, to get a domestic trophy would be a great boost for everyone's confidence and outlook. That and 3rd place ( I hate being fourth and it comes with a sting in the tail where the CL is concerned ).

I agree, it's not insurmountable. It was mentioned in a post above that even if we beat City we'll still probably have to face Chelsea or United, so what? We are certainly capable of beating them on any given day. We certainly have a chance.
Can't understand why we bother playing the season. It is so oblvious to everyone who is going to win, and all the papers are always right. Look at last season. Chelsea, after their great start were clearly going to win the le... hmmm.
