Michael Oliver was over referring game in Saudi other day - clip of him only giving Ronaldo a yellow card for grabbing guy round the neck with his arm and slamming him down to the ground…

    Doesnt bode well

    for forest.

he is well known for favouring big names. bit of a home towner as well.

pity the game is not on TV as that would put the guy right on edge

Different circumstances. I imagine he is at risk of being lynched out there if he were to send off the new super-expensive plaything of the ultra wealthy

We need to win all eight remaining games. That'll put us on 71pts. Newcastle need 15 more points to reach 71pts but they have some tough fixtures left.

    **** the teams in-between :)

Get the job done vs Forest and hope Spurs beat Newcastle - it may be worth a little hype if that happens.

We are used to do things in the hard way. Three seasons ago. Alisson needed to score last game of the season to make top four .He is yet to score this season.

    CHRIS SUTTON'S PREDICTION.
Liverpool v Nottingham Forest (Premier League, 15:00)
This is probably the game I am most confident about this week - mostly based on Nottingham Forest's terrible away form.

Forest boss Steve Cooper got a vote of confidence last week from the club's owner Evangelos Marinakis but was told that results must improve. They haven't.

Based on what Marinakis said, I am surprised Cooper is still in a job, not that I in any way think he should be sacked. I don't see Forest ending their 10-game winless run at Anfield, though.

Liverpool look stronger up front now Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz are back from injury and Jurgen Klopp has copied Pep Guardiola's playbook by using Trent Alexander-Arnold in a new inverted role.

It is working really well, and I can see them scoring more goals here.

    Chris Sutton's prediction: 3-0

Chris Batten's prediction: Liverpool will get a few goals in this one. 3-0

    SKY SPORTS PREDICTIONS:

Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest, Saturday 3pm
If Liverpool turn up in the same mood as their second half performance at Leeds on Monday night, then Nottingham Forest are in danger of a proper spanking.

So much emotion and energy went into Forest's 23-year road back to the Premier League but if their current malaise continues, it all looks set to end after a single season. A run of 10 games without a win means they are now 2/7 second favourites with Sky Bet for the drop. Steve Cooper's stock must be falling as he hasn't been able to find the right formula, especially in the final third. Forest go against what has made Cooper such a progressive coach by being a stale, negative team to watch.
They've made the fewest passes in the opposition half of any Premier League team and are ranked the lowest for touches in opposition box, corners and possession won in final third. Just five goals scored in 15 away games, failing to score in 10 of those is an appalling return.

A Liverpool win to nil at 5/6 with Sky Bet is potentially a smart way of getting Liverpool at a backable price or chancing your arm at some fancy scorelines: 5-0 (14/1), 6-0 (28/1) and 7-0 (66/1) make sense.

    SCORE PREDICTION: 5-0

Fabinho is on nine yellows. If he gets booked against Forest, he'll have to serve a two match ban missing the next two games. Rest him against Forest and West Ham so he's available against Spurs?

    no.

    just no.

play the next game with what you have. win the game and move on.

Pick the team based on what you've got cos who knows who will be injured etc.

we can't afford to take points for granted with our **** form and honestly we are as likley lose to forest at home and beat spurs for no good reason with or without fabinho.

oh I'd sack the lot of them but can't replace them til may so whos there is that and that is that for 8 games ;)

    pragmatism.

we've a best 11 available and they must play each game. if fabinho can't play without getting yellows then that best 11 will change for the games he is out. no one games points are going to be more important than any others in the race for 6th.

firmino is out. yet another muscle injury. so out for at least 3 games given the short turn around.

This is why we are happy enough. he's had a good season in the first half then injury injury injury again.
