I see canberra legend has been placed in the 3 oclock out of its numerous entries . It looks a fair contest and i did take the 9s on offer when they opened ( which comes with a risk ground / conditions etc ) , there are a couple i would be worried about intinso and bold act both with very fine backgrounds but not the best value on odds. I should think the 3 mentioned will be the first over the line but as for order i will just keep my fingers crossed . Canderra has been steadily backed in since opening best now 7s but risky
150 with hills paying 5 places as long as 12 run the 16s on surely not looks very appealing . Surely is dropped in class and the inform Hollie Doyle has been booked who is 1/1 in the plate . This bet is small and more for interest as with most 3yrold bets.
225 Mohamid tabti takes of a handy claim of on leap abroad , Leap travels well from the front and if getting a break could be hard to reel in . The downside is the last outing was 300 days ago at c/d beating lethal levi who went on to win 2 class 2s in a row at c/d a month after . I am sure Leap will be primed for this and 12s ew look fair with 4 places .
520 shabaz gets the cheekpieces put back on following a 9f win here lto , Fellows and Sheppard are both having a baron spell this could be a great chance to end that . I may wait for bog to kick in as 10s ew could drift on time off track and poor jockey/trainer form.
The Nell Gwynn looks interesting and could throw up something Girl Racer, Inner Space, Karsavina and Mammas Girl are all one race winners with 93-98 ratings and a small "p"; But the other once raced winner is the Kingman filly Coppice (111P) trained by Gosdens and ridden by Dettori and could be top class. I suppose it is possible that Frankie has jumped on the wrong one. Rob Havlin has ridden them both
Think its the first day of the season at Cheltenham that I won't be attending. It looks a decent competitive card too.
I know Coole Cody has looked like it went right off the boil but his figures from the last race were significantly better than he's been showing and he could be building up to one last big race. I've gone EW at 11/1 with 4 places.
Trying to find some value here with an ew lucky 15 at Newmarket 1.50 Dyonisium 11-1 2.25 Probe 4-1 3 Canberra Legend 13/2 3.25 Karsavina 14-1
Mammas Girl and Karsavina were the one raced winners to come through, finishing 1st and 4th respectively. Might have been worth talking to the owner of Mammas Girl who said before the race (but not publicly) "She wins by 3l" and was surprised at the 28/1 on offer at the time. Trainer was surprised she went so well given she would "definitely" come on from the race, and was also surprised at the price. Is that a tip for the 1,000 Gns, trimmed to 8/1? Not sure the extra furlong will suit, on pedigree but she was running on strongly on good to soft so, maybe
Like A Tiger was definitely the most impressive winner today by a fair way. What a good performance after rearing up amd starting sideways, cruised to victory.
Good pick. The judges seem to think he needs further but his dam's side is not that full of stamina. Sure, Australia was a Derby winner but I don't think it's certain he'd get a searching 12f. He may go for the Guineas but the Dante and then the Eclipse might be better.
