well i'm very confused of the parameters you are using but can i just point out Pepe at £65m is an Arsenal player .
no, I said we’d be worth less, especially if FSG compound the issue and do not invest. Both are correct.
I mean, everyone is correct here. Our total value is still high, one of the highest in the world, but our valuation would have dropped a little, just from the fact we're going to have £30mil+ less in revenue next season and our existing squad needs several hundred mil invested in it. But yes, it probably hasn't dropped us too far down the list of most valuable clubs. It will certainly have dropped us some though.
I still prefer him in his old position but it looks like the intention is definitely to move him into midfield - so yes, we need to get a proper RB.
It's a shame we haven't seen much of Ramsay this season. If Trent is midfield-bound then a RB will undoubtedly be outsourced
I’m not totally convinced - while great on the ball, it’s the off the ball work and lack of pace that concerns me. That said, I didn’t see last nights game and how he performed.
gigantic wastes of money. really I'm just looming at the scalding poor return some clubs have gotten out of their massive spending as that spending completely dominates the top British transfers list.
tonight mostly showed we lack penetration up front. leaving trent aside we just shuffled in front of Leeds until they made the errors. that's the same issues we have had for yonks. the exact.same gaps and issues lead to their goal. sloppiness and no cover. personally seeing jota get the money off his back was good but we have a lot of work to do to get that cutting edge back in our game. if you park your rb at 6 and your LB at lcb it's very hard get a good overlap with your wide players. as a result (and Henderson doesn't help either) we got advanced wide and back passed. one point to make is unlike some games there was actually players in the box but we wouldn't cross.
Think the point is you can’t list arsenals best 11, and leave out the big money signing. Then list our team and our ox and Keita in it
Well I can and did. Look I probably did mix the drinks there. The point was our spend is actually large and we have made mistakes in the big buys, whereas arsneal have basically got most of it right just recently and they are flying as a reuslt. Yes I just showed what arsenal got to as a team there but have left out a couple of terrible buys over the previous period. all it does is put pepe in for saka really and add 70 mil to thier total.
Easily his best game from midfield, but it will take more than one good one to convince me that it's worth losing that supply from the wings that has been so successful for a few years. I'm not happy with the move, but I'm resigned to it because it definitely looks like that's the future. If he suddenly starts providing more assists and creating more chances than he did out wide (tall order) then I might come round.
in that case, our team pretty cheap. Ali 60m taa 0 Matip 0 vvd 75m robbo 8m hendo 16m Bajcetic 250k jones 0m salah 32m firmino 30m jota 45m
Only thing can think is that previously we scored lots of goals from crosses but they weren’t your conventional cross in and win headers. They were crosses from deeper in behind the defence for mane and Salah to be running onto from wide to inside. And when it was a cross from closer to their goal it was generally an overlap and a low ball in. Maybe klopp doesn’t want TAA overlapping because he can’t get back, Hendo/Fabinho can’t cover that area in the way they did so leaves huge space? Maybe Nunez/gakpo/Jota aren’t making those runs in behind from deeper crosses like mane used to make so having to adapt? Maybe worried that teams had started to work that out so is just trying to adapt and not become stale?
That's literally what everyone does. you move the ball until an error is made, whether that's a failure to track or a slip or you get an overload.
