I was just watching it too and was going to post a similar comment,it was an absolutely sublime flick!
“We were getting pulled apart. They’re the best team in the division by a mile. They’ve hit top form today. We’ve underperformed and that can happen.” Gotta feel for Charlton manager after that humiliation!
Gaffer, if you were the Port Vale manager, what would the game plan be after reading those comments. And as Spanish said earlier, Charlton have been in reasonable form.
Parking the bus won’t work anymore because we recycle the ball quickly. The only way to beat us is to win the midfield battle against Morsy and Luongo and give our defence plenty of defending to do so they are less inclined to get forward.
Tbh, apart from coming out and waving a white flag (!) I would say, guys, Ipswich are.the top team in form, scored.the most goals in the country, best GD too and perhaps in Europe, just go out and enjoy yourselves!
Good point Spanish, how did Nuggets get on in the box ? I can report some slight chafing, but nothing that a bit of cream won't sort out
P R was a hell of a place to be yesterday, a 6 nil win in front of 29000 spectators and a hell of a noise coming from the North Stand in the Suffolk sunshine, sometimes i have to remind myself im watching Lg1 football such is the quality we are showing right now, and this all stems from McK finally getting his best side together in January as far as im concerned. Everyone played well and we know we have able subs in Donacien, Leigh, and Ladapo etc although Harness and Jackson continue to disappoint, so its Port Vale on Tuesday cant wait.
Glad you were able to watch it live FM, must have been so exciting seeing that kind of performance, such a great Club spirit and PR rocking. I am going to call the Club ticket office and see if I can get a home ticket before end of season. A 300 mile round trip is a helluva long way for this old gaffer but I feel I must be amongst the crowd again, and not suffering the hopeless iFollow service. Worth a Refund San Diego?
One thing was telling though, especially given he didn't make it onto the pitch - Harness was smiling and buzzing for his teammates after the final whistle. What a manager we have ourselves.
Another was that Chaplin could easily have tapped Ladapo's second goal in and claimed it for himself but he unselfishly avoided it to give Freddie the goal. And I haven't heard a lot of the commentary from the second half because I was too busy faffing about trying to get the video to work, but you could hear how Edmundson was literally kicking every ball as he was getting so excited during every attack. It was obvious he was right behind the lads on the field trying to get a win.
I did watch the whole replay last night, no commentary embedded so it was great to just hear the ebb and flow of the chants between supporters and concentrate on watching the game. I would still like to see it with commentary attached, which they have posted now, because Edmundson was golden on the mic
Thanks for the tip. Will have to give that one a listen and relive the glory!! One other thing that could do with an uplift in the ground is the press box. It must have been there since the stand was built!
It would be great to have there Gaffer you will love it, there are some tickets still available for tomorrows match but im not sure about the Exeter fixture but someone said they were sold out, its an experience to be in the North Stand in a sold out P R its just buzzing.
