I would agree with you in the main, however just watched the highlights back this morning - for their goal, Pritchard gives the ball away in the centre circle, then jogs back into the box as they score :emoticon-0140-rofl:

But aye, in general he is good in possession

Yeah I noticed that and was disappointed tbh.

He didn't chase back hard enough although the defence seemed to vanish as well ...

... what an easy finish it was <doh>

    Pickford would've been apoplectic.

We were all over the place - Batth (who had his poorest game of the season) throws himself into a challenge 40 yards from goal. From that point we are exposed and overrun. Hume throws himself into a block and it sent for the milk by Chong. Pritch and Michut are jogging back into the box as Hall rolls the ball in

One of the things I'm loving about discussions on this Board is that insults are not prevalent. We seem to have a great forum of lads...and lasses...who can debate our issues without...in the main...resorting to nonsense and insults.
This is a great forum at the minute I find.

That's exactly why we need the likes of Pritchard and Evans. Neil and Ekwah are young lads and will make mistakes.
Unfortunately when you're playing in such key positions you're mistakes are magnified. People highlight the mistake and ignore all the good work and progression they are making. They need a few old heads around them. Allow them to express themselves without the fear. Only way they will grow.
For this game I would definitely play Pritchard. He hasn't been his absolute best lately but often takes a few games to get up to speed and for this one with his history He will be well up for it.

Great point. Had forgotten his relationship with them. Maybe drop Roberts out and play Amad wide for 55 or 60 then bring Roberts on for Pritch. Good challenges to have. I do though still think we will need Gelhardt up front to try and move their defence around a bit.

I get the argument that Gelhardt should start instead of Pritchard. Maybe it’s a squad rotation thing to stop the former burning out.

The plus side for me is that Gelhardt comes on fresh at 60 minutes for the business end of the game. Get at the tiring defence with his work rate and movement.

Giving 60 minutes to Pritchard also means that he doesn’t have to worry about pacing himself.

    Great thread as always @RTB.

They will sit deep, we know that much. With Clarke, Roberts and Amad running at them I can see quite a few free kicks coming around the box.
I'm going for a 3 - 1 win to the Lads, and i wouldn't be surprised if there was a penalty or two.
    Ha'way the Lads.

I was at Huddersfield and close to their fans.

Mr RAWhite, and his mates, were right next to them and things got a bit heated at times ...

... after Pritchard scored RAW's lot absolutely ransacked them to point where some were almost in tears and others were dragged out <laugh>

In addition to Cirkin I think. Mowbray said it "should only be 1 game"

    My money is on Pritchard

I doubt they'll have more than 20% possession and sit back most of the game ...

... as they counter, at speed we may be better off with O'Nien there with Hume and Cirkin.

I'd rather Batth was there though <laugh>

Patience is key in this one. Personally, I don't think there's any need for our fans to get anxious. Very few of us suspected that we would be in this position. So, let's enjoy the game, back the lads to the hilt and let them express themselves. It's a free hit as far as I'm concerned. Pressure is very much on Huddersfield to try to keep a clean sheet.
They'll pack their box, so trying to go round the outside might not be the best option. Work things through the middle, with our wingers cutting inside and try to draw fouls in and around their box.
2-0 Sunderland and a further rise up the table. Then who knows.....?

Cirkin suspended for this one. If it's another defensive injury we're in real trouble...

I reckon it could be Pritchard who's injured. He was carrying a knock not so long ago and was out for a few games and was withdrawn before the 90 mins was up in previous games. If memory serves me right, Saturday could've been his first 90 mins in quite a while and somethings flared up
