Nerves for me……Maybe the reality of winning the league is kicking in, they also threw it away against Liverpool last week…….choking as it were.
Shame . I don’t want city to win , nothing against them at all , but just don’t like it when the same team keeps winning .
They will probably come back and win. I don’t know why I’m checking the scores, it’s kind of irrelevant now.
Irrelevant for our current season, undoubtably. But not irrelevant for our next season. Which two sides come down with us does matter.
With so many poor teams this year it’s impressive to be easily the worst, so we’ve got that going for us which is nice.
It’s almost got to the point where I wish we were mathematically certain of relegation. To be as terrible as we have been and still be only 4 points from safety is just a slow, cruel death.
I've just assumed we'll be relegated and because we need a total reinvention I'm frankly not bothered who the other two will be. What is nice is to revert to my default position where, instead of perversely enjoying the other relegation candidates being beaten by the likes of (and in particular) Man Utd, l can now enjoy these lesser teams getting points against clubs in the top half of the league. It's no disadvantage to us anymore we haven't got the will to scrap enough to gain points, if the have and they survive good luck to them.
Leicester have the fixtures but not the form. Forest have neither the fixtures nor the form. Everton's fixtures and form are both just about acceptable, if you're being generous. Leeds have a nice looking remainder to April, but a not-so-nice looking May. Leicester v Everton on 1 May might well just decide who joins us and Forest in the Championship. And given how bad Leicester are at home (but still not as bad as us), and Everton are away (but they still managed to beat us), that match is not an easy one to call.
I got vaguely excited, thinking Arsenal might just be feeling the nerves now, and that could give us at least a sniff of a chance on Friday. Then I remembered it was this season, and it won't, and even if it did it pretty much wouldn't matter.
Yeah I wouldn’t be at all surprised if we didn’t get another point this season, definitely won’t get to 30 which will see us down pretty comfortably. Although I would guess if you asked a Leicester, Everton or Forest fan they’d probably say they can’t see where their next point is coming from either such is how **** all 4 are
We will give them a two goal lead and then come back at them… with two own goals instead. The Southampton way.
But then we beat Arsenal and Bournemouth and suddenly everything changes. It's that simple, we've simply been sending this complacency message to the others to confuse them and create uncertainty in their Managers minds as to how to deal with us. I'm surprised we haven't realized this before!!!!
