For me Nige requires 5/6 quality additions across the pitch for a real go next season. It was always a three year plan so a big big transfer window and season coming up. If we can pull the right quality in then it will be very interesting-if we don't expect another average season where i see us mid table at best. I would like to see a new goalkeeper-left back De'Silva going-two centre backs if Kalas is off- a attacking central midfielder and another Matty James type player. Possibly a big target man up front. Over to you peeps on what you would like to see arrive and where you see the football club come the season end 2023/2024.
GET Flinty back as a centre forward ... Brownhill as a midfielder.. and LJ as director of football ......
Is Nige really going to be given the money or opportunity to spend on 5-6 really quality additions ? That's with or without any money we get for Scott.
Scott and Semenyo money will allow for the additions-Nige has culled the wages and with Kalas and De'Silva big earners likely to leave as well funds will be available and hopefully Nige pulling some gems.
Brian Tinnion lays out Bristol City's recruitment plan with 'three or four' targets lined up City's Head of Recruitment confirmed there will be money to spend in the summer https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bristol-city-brian-tinnion-plan-8205539 I'm sure if Tinman states it, you can believe it.
I'd agree with a more experienced keeper and allow O'Leary to learn from a more experienced pro. Not a fan of big target men. The game has moved on from the likes of Emile Heskey, Matt Smith and co. A strong but not necessarily tall front man like Chuba Akpong at Middlesbrough would be perfect. Strong and quick and a good eye for taking chances.
I would love the guy at Rotherham big pacey and can play football. Out off contract as well-i hope city have tabs on him. Chiedozie Ogbene of Rotherham United please log in to view this image
It bloody well ought to, if we sell the family jewels, we have to reinvest it. SL did before, so sure he would again. The question then is will, or how NP spend it?
I think a 'Target Man' would be a good acquisition, but probably a big defender who goes forward (like Flint used to), rather than a striker because he wouldn't fit into our usual style of play and would be on the bench most of the time (like Martin was)
The first two would be great, unfortunately we couldn’t afford the fees or their wages, Morrel no thanks. Would be better to bring one our youngsters through.
We’ve got, Wells, Cornick TC, Bell, Weinman and Mehmetti all for the three front three position. We won’t be getting a forward this summer.
Buying Webster and Kelly, I’m sure they would come and play in our wage structure? Are you on some seriously strong drugs? But I can see you confirmed you are, with mentioning Morrel in the same bracket.
