I missed half of what was said on the TV this morning (probably only local news) but something to do with HSBC who said they'd done nothing wrong but about loyal football fans suffering. Not sure if anyone saw it and could shed any light on what was going on? It showed fans outside the ground at Elland Road so mentioned us specifically.
One may hold the red wine glass at the top of the stem by holding both the stem and cupping used upturned fingers, but definitely do not hold hold by the upper part of the glass only. However the classic stem only method is far more elegant and preferable.
It may be more elegant and preferable to you but I would feel like a woofter holding a glass of red like that. Then again, I don't think fake tan is a good look on a bloke so each to their own I guess
Now you know how it feels to be bought a Southern Comfort and lemonade with lipstick on the glass in the middle of the afternoon
Didn't see the news Heidi, which channel was it ? Google not been able to shed much light, all I could find was some guy being jailed for racial abuse from when we played Villa. HSBC branch closures throughout the country commence this week, so maybe it was two different stories that you only partially heard and combined them into one. Sorry can't be of any help
Hi Heidi Caught something on news which was about an investment company, associated at the time with Leeds Utd i think they were called FXVC, who advertised around the ground on the billboards etc, they were apparently very dodgy and people were scammed huge amounts of money, soon as Leeds realised this, they cut all ties with them. The general news story was how premier league clubs as many as ten or eleven i think were dealing with these type of firms, it was just the Leeds case which was highlighted, as the bbc spoke to a Leeds couple who lost over three hundred thousand to them.
Wasn't his lordship was it? Still can't understand why we can't lash the cash for a forward, when his lordship the Jamster has that much laying around in loose change.
Very quiet on this here today. Are we all still shell shocked by Sunday or having a mini break like the players?
I think some are trying to work out how to drink from a glass, as most of us just crack a can and neck it.
I wasn't shocked on Sunday, just disappointed that we still have that kind of performance in us despite a new manager and new players brought in during January. If anything that probably goes down as the worst performance this season and at the worst possible time. Nothing much to say regarding us until we see how the squad respond next Monday. It's on them as far as I'm concerned and it's up to them to sort this **** out....again.
Now 06:30 Thursday and still fooked off so not enjoying posting much myself, especially after being so confident we would now be all but safe on 32 points with winnable games to come and a gap between us and the drop zone. An 80 year old who has never been in charge of a team that scores goals smashed my attacking side to bits. It showed a weakness of mind inside our squad. It made some like Ayling look very very poor
I think both Palace and Leeds have decent attackers, our attackers came up against an average back 5 (including keeper). On another day we could have had 3-4 goals in that first half. I also believe starting with Bamford was an error The difference was their attackers faced a below average back 5 and they made it count. Our midfield lost its shape, the three of McKennie, Aaronson and Roca don’t compliment each other.
Me & my mate delve into the red wine now & again. Whilst in Macedonia, we found stuff for 65p a bottle. As our assessment of red wine is based on whether we can keep it down or not, and it passed!
