AN Probably would have had a couple of strikers in. Speakman's main priority is to bring in talented youngsters for resale, that is how I suspect he gets his bonus, not necessarily promotion.

Can't argue with any of this really. I took it that he would grind out more results playing boring football but another poster on the TM thread said they though AN wouldn't have coped with the injuries as he was less willing to blood the young lads and got me thinking we probably would have been worse off.

Either way I'd rather have TM and the exciting times we have had. If I was given the choice AN to have us comfortably in play offs by now but without the exciting football we have played under TM then I'd turn it down.

This team and TM will get there playing football like they do and may aswell give the fans something good to watch!

How would he? He left cause he didn't have control of transfers

Quick edit or it was one of the reasons rumoured anyway!

I thought that was down to the fact that we didn't have a striker

Is that any different to when Di Canio "had them sussed"?

It's easy to manage beyond all budgets and limitations. It's a different story to make the best of the hand you've been dealt and actually do what you're getting paid to do.

Some modern managers / coaches cant do that. They think it will cost them their CV. It is vital you can make players better at the majority of clubs. I was never convinced Neil could do that and certainly not as well as Mowbray. He probably wont go further than Stoke now, he has shown the sort of manager he is.

Given the run Neil put us on to get us into this league, he really did show that he made the best out of a hand.

LJ always looked like he smelled like Sauvage.

As for Leauge position, it's hard to say. I'd think still in Leauge 1.

He was certainly a confident fella wasnt he. A bit too confident probably. I do think he is a manager that moved us forward though. Certainly some of the players he gave us comtinue to shine. Maybe his time was up, hard to argue otherwise, but we have plenty worse managers in recent times I reckon.

What scent would Grayson smell like? Or Moyes. Aftershave for managers is a good talking point <cheers>

Moyes looks like a fella that says "oh I dunno, the wife gets me it". when anyone asks what he has on (Coolwater).

Grayson, probably a Lynx Africa body spray kind of bloke. Brut for weddings

Summed Moyes up perfectly there mate.

I am an aqua di parma man, have been for years. I have a theory our friend dick advocaat might have gone down that sort of route. Never changes, no matter the trend. Paulo Di Canio - I reckon he sprayed everything on at the same time, petrol to givenchy, the mad bugger.

We've sold no one yet and are actually bringing more in tbf, as we did last week.

I'm sure we could've sold a few in January if we'd wanted to.

Rigg, Pritchard, Stewart, Neil, etc, were all rumoured to be going.

So far the only 'proof' of us being a selling club is on fans forums like this one.

Speakman's priority is signing players that improve us both short term and long term - so far thats been a big success so if he gets bonuses for making us better as a club then he deserves them

No argument there from me... he has brought in some good players.... except for strikers, a manager would make them a priority... Speakman may not!

Ross to Stoke..Patto - who knows!

    We will replace well though
