Odd thing to bring up as we prepared to line up against them and Honeyman was named as having come back into the line up? Gee wonder what made me think of it out of nowhere. What would the link to recent events be considering it has absolutely nothing to do with anything discussed with Howden? What a strange bow to draw.

If I was 'making sure people knew about it' I'd be going on about it non-stop. It was an off the cuff comment as I saw he'd come back into the line up and it triggered a memory. You're doing an awful good job of keeping the comment in the spotlight though. :)

Ebiowei wasn't just poor yesterday, he was utterly appalling, stepped out of everything, looked completely disinterested and Rosie swapped him with Allahyar to stop him getting abuse from the East Stand. Personally, I hope that's the last we see of him, yesterday was his tenth appearance for us and I think he's only really had one good game (I also think he's blown any chance of a return next season).

Didn’t know he was getting abuse from the east stand
I just thought he swapped him so he and the team could coach/bollock/encourage him into moving his arse

Yeah clearly it's a pretty uniform view on here, which is why I expressed surprise as statistically he performed better than Ally for example. I definitely think his body language and languid style count against him. While Ally might be misplacing passes or not winning a 50/50 he's always running around and at least appears to be putting in 100%. That's not me slating Ally either, just trying to understand the different perspectives on the two players when just looking at a stat sheet - and indeed watching on a stream - looked quite different.

I've been pretty critical of Malc previously though so not too bothered if we don't see him again, but as Shark (I think?) said above, he's had worse games for us so it was just surprising to see such a visceral reaction to this one.

Agreed. Mind you, Sayyadmanesh IMHO is usually far better on the right than the left, although he did well yesterday overall.

Honeyman was ****e yesterday, as far as I remember he was ****e against us at their place as well.

He took one good corner, made a twat of himself trying to wind up Traore and still runs like a chicken. **** him.

I was defending Ebiowei's attitude the other day, I thought it was just his natural state to look disintered and gloomy. But he really did lack intensity in that first half yesterday. He's definitely a talent but like Howden said, considering the faith Rosenior put in him in bringing him in and waiting for him to get fit, he's been a let down with performances like yesterday's.

As mentioned earlier, he tweaked his calf about two minutes in. I actually thought he was going to be subbed off when it happened as it looked quite bad but he pushed through, probably to his detriment.

Exactly. If you try and fail, then statistically that might look worse than actually making an effort to e.g. trap a ball that is otherwise likely to bounce over your head. You can of course shrug your shoulders and make no effort to collect the pass - that way it will presumably go down as a misplaced pass by the passer. Ebiowei getting in the team ahead of Longman is bonkers if/when both are fit. Longman makes more effort, and has a better cross and shot on him. Yes Ebiowei can trick his way round people, sometimes two people, then often does nothing with it, or waits for some more defenders to pile in to see if they’ll fall for the same tricks.

None of the three players subbed off at half time yesterday could have any complaints, they were all really poor.

And unlike many on here, I quite like Pelkas, he's not worth the money we're paying, but I think he's a decent player (usually).

He needs a haircut though, every time he ran yesterday, his long fringe dropped down and he looked a bit like Hitler. <laugh>

Could be useful in the first half of games with the blitzkrieg approach in order to overrun the oppos early doors.

Bit of a liability towards the end of games with the whole backs to the wall, holed up in a bunker vibe, not being as strong as you'd want.

Probably best to pull him off at half-time.

I think the first thing we need to do is 'Shave' something off his reported £35k a week? 'If' that's anywhere near true then it's too much for a Club like ours?

I was sat in west upper, watched every minute of the game and it’s only just now I realised honeyman was playing. I am either getting ****ing old or he was absolute dross, me thinks it’s a bit of both lol. Darlow, Tufan, Traore, Seri and Mac were for me the stand out players yesterday, the rest were either workmanlike or dross. I’m a little too hungover to go into more detail.

This is beginning to sound like an unhealthy trend! If they can't last 90 minutes without 'relief' then we may need to think about some sort of additive to be surreptitiously secreted into their half-time brews(jail-juice)?

Failing that, castration looks like the only available option.

Pelkas was looking every bit as good as Traore in his first stint, he’s struggled since returning from the most recent injury but we have seen much more from him before. I think a lot of people have completely forgotten how good he was earlier in the season.
