Good Morning. It's Monday 10th April, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Leeds hammered after second half meltdown

Leeds Utd suffered a second half meltdown at the hands of goal shy Crystal Palace yesterday as the Eagles came from behind to soar clear of the relegation fodder; in a five goal massacre. Things could have been all so different had Gracia's men taken their chances early on, but as we have seen so many times over the last few seasons, when it's time for Leeds to soak up pressure, it rarely ends well.

For the first half an hour, it was one way traffic. Leeds were camped in the Palace half, launching wave after wave of attack, with little resistance coming from their South London counterparts! It came as no surprise when deadlock was broken, after 22 minutes when Bamford steered a header (following Aaronson's out-swinging corner) in off the post to deservedly take the lead.

Palace were level shortly just before the interval. Ayew rose highest to get on the end of a free kick, directing a tame effort towards Meslier. Before the Frenchman could claim the ball, Guehi nipped in, and steered the ball in to an empty net.

Leeds second half performance was inexcusable. It was like Ketamine had been served during half time refreshments, such was their inability to keep up. Four goals in 24 minutes well and truly highlighted Leeds Utd's inadequacies, and the tasks Gracia faces between now and the end of the season to paper over the cracks, when hopefully the cull can begin.

It's going down to the wire

Leeds have eight games to save their Premier League lives. They currently sit in 16th place, two places and two points above Nottingham Forest, but face a daunting fixture list with all opponents playing for something.

    (H) Liverpool
    (A) Fulham
    (H) Leicester C
    (A) Bournemouth
    (A) Man City
    (H) Newcastle
    (A) West Ham
    (H) Spurs

The bookies continue to back West Yorkshire's finest. Southampton (1/7), Nottingham Forest (4/11) and Leicester (4/6) are all odds on for the drop, followed by Everton (7/4) and Bournemouth (5/2). Then, comes Leeds at 10/3).

They are still 24 points to play for, though in all likelihood, eight should hopefully be enough. It would take the Whites to 37, and with a superior goal difference over their fellow strugglers, it should be enough. Where are Leeds going to get eight points from?

    Morning all

Yesterday was a must win for any chance of avoiding the end of season nail biting time. No point in having any further must win games, it’s all wait and see time. Something has to change though, fighting at the wrong end of the table for the second consecutive season just makes it feel like a matter of time.

Good Morning from a sunny Bardsey..Well thats the good news now for the bad lets hope this is a wake up cal lfor the rest of the season
    .
The last time we lost by this score I believe was in the early 1960-62we played Scunthorpe United and we desperately neede a centre forward.Well Barrie Thomas was playing for the oppostiono and clearly he fancied playing for Leeds.Jack Charlton played centre forwardand Goodwin played centre half.Thomas scoredv 4 goals that day and big Jack scored for Leeds.Scunthorpe wanted 45k for Thomas we could not afford him so he eventually was sold tonNewcastle were he played fror Engtland ut was injured very early there and never played again.I remeber that game todayas I stood in the scracthing shed

And what's Gracia doing in that picture, consoling Bamford <grr> Hope he was whispering in his ear, Don't be expecting any wages for you or the team after that pile of sh**, then helped them up the tunel with the sole of his boot.:emoticon-0183-swear

Not been on here since half time yesterday as so fooking angry and embarrased. We could have been 4-0 at half time and deserved to be but yet again another mistake by the useless twat Ayling and we go in 1-1 at HT. that’s the end of the good news, a fooking nightmare and maybe even season ending debacle.

No positives from that but I will say I do blame Javi Gracia for a lot of that because of his insistence on playing Ayling even though he has been responsible for 3 maybe 4 goals over the last 3 games. Firpo took a kicking for months but Ayling gets a free pass. Bamford scored yesterday but besides the goal was pants again. Rodrigo not getting a look in yet he scores goals. Harrison as expected was shyte yesterday and should have been pulled. Georginio not likely to get a look in, Summerville seems to be in exile and Gnonto must have shagged Javi’s daughter so not picked.

Weak minded ****s the lot of em. That's one of the rare occasions I think it's acceptable to give our own players plenty of stick after the final whistle.

I'm OK losing heavily as long as we all did our best but to just give up....at home...against a relegation rival....in front of our own fans! Unforgivable imo. No concessions for the players after that. At this moment in time they've alot of making up to do for yesterday.

    Morning All

What the actual **** was that yesterday. Losing to Palace by 4 games is beyond embarrassing. I'm not pointing fingers at who is to blame for this **** show because I don't have enough ****ing fingers. I hope and I mean this I hope we get relegated by the end of the season just so we can move these **** on. Get the cash for the ****ers and start building a new squad. ****ing get rid Garcia and bring in another coach. We ****ing lost to a team that is coached by that fat **** incompetent dementia patient Woy. Even if we do stay up Garcia can **** off in fact Garcia can **** off today.

    Morning all.

Getting sick of reading complaints/rants from so called fans.

There are other teams/sports available if you've had enough of supporting Leeds United because everyone at the club, players, coaches, senior management etc etc are 100% pulling together to achieve the goal of staying in the PL.

The players yesterday did not give up, downtools or anything of the kind, they simply lost their way in a football match.

Today is the first day of the rest of the season and we go again.

Now usually I would have said ' together ' as in MOT but we're never that are we ? It's a fallacy, something made up to make fans feel better about themselves when the reality is when supporters are needed most they simply leave in their droves.

When supporters pay their hard earned money to watch a bunch of overpaid players lose their way I think they're entitled to let them know their feelings

well we stayed to the end and refused to join in the boos but i did not clap them either.why dont you stop reading then as it will probably get worse after saturday leading up to the liverpool game.lack of ability lost us the game yesterday and chief culprit was the pedestrian Ayling.
