wow. Game of the season? 2 pens all season - and we've missed them. Where has that fire been all season? Where was it for 40 minutes? Good luck to Arsenal for the rest of the season, and debate over - Trent is not a right back.

Considering Arsenal should have been out of sight after first half, Liverpool unlucky not to win.
Disappointed with Salah again, not just because of the penalty miss. He just doesn't justify his place, yet alone his salary

A draw is no good for either team…

Xhaka woke the team and the crowd up. It was going towards a tame defeat for us. Footballing wise they are superior but we’ve made it up with passion and aggression.

At least I enjoyed watching us play. Too many times this season been slow and ponderous. Today we sped things up and got things moving and sustained attacks and looked like the Liverpool of old.

    1. salah should be off pens now. we've enough that take better.

    2. salah missed 5 off target.

    3. tactics were a shambles today.

    4. defending was a shambles today as usual.

we play Leeds away next yeah? there will be no fight there.

Did well to come back after going two nil down, but missing a penalty is unforgiveable. Their keeper had a good game, but you can tell they are coached by a Spaniard. Whenever we were having a fair bit of the ball and building some momentum, an Arsenal player would feign an injury to slow the game down and break up our rhythm, and not to mention the time wasting when they were two up.! A draw was a fair result bearing in mind how bad we were first half.

I think Salah will be off in the summer, if so then there is no way he's taken off penalties before leaving. Klopp loves a bit of sentiment.

First half was shambolic until the Trent Vs Xhaka incident, that sparked the fire in the players bellies and made for a different game from there on in.

Loved the fighting spirit in the second half, want to see that in every signed match we play.

A draw is no good to us but there performance might be, we'll see.

Yeah, eventually. Think Neville summed it well when he said "When this crowd is quiet, let sleeping dogs lie". Different game after the Xakha incident though.

But let's not fool ourselves - for 40 minutes Arsenal made utter mugs of our back 4. We need to make a decision about Trent, and we need to accept that Virgil is half the player he was three years ago. That still makes him a good centre-back - just not the rapid colossus he was. And Robbo is getting older too. Then again, he probably wasn't expecting to be elbowed in the throat by the lino. :bandit:

    I wasn't going to say it but I will;

I felt we were the better side over the ninety minutes and deserved the win.

Sky Sports just put this up...

Just looking at the Xhaka incident again, should have been a red card, he runs up and elbows Trent in the head

there's a massive cover up underway right now.

every online source of video of lino elbowing Robertson is being deleted.

it's absolutely clear Robertson didn't touch him but was gobby and the guy throws his elbow right up into Robertson.

then trent should be sent off as well.

the refs dealt with the silly buggery with two cards but fails to deal with the cheating all over the park.

silly is the best way to call it.

you'd chalk that down as a very much failed experiment.

what I should add to that incident is that an arsenal player would have dropped on the first elbow and would have dropped with eh head contact for sure.

    trent left xhaka off twice
