Can anyone explain to me why Iheanacho was the main go-to man to score us goals a few matches ago and now he can't even get onto the pitch as a sub. Is it the same as the Mendy situation?

That starting XI had no goals written all over it. Slowest midfield in the league. Get Ranieri back. At least he could pick a team. The current pair haven't got a clue between them.

It’s as if they’d phoned Rodgers up and asked him ‘who would you pick?’ What do they see exactly? I’m just hoping the EFL aren’t waiting for us for previous financial irregularities as has been suggested. The supporters can see what’s coming before a ball is kicked.

Nice to see Soyuncu play yesterday, he looked as good as anyone. If Rodgers hadn’t been so stubborn we might not have been in as much trouble as we are now, it was obviously a personal thing with him. He should have known better that the clubs interests should have come before his. Smith seen through Soumare by the looks of it, another case of blind faith on Rodgers behalf. Mendy looks like the best option of a holding midfielder at the moment, and Iheanacho has got to start, he’s the only striker who seems to get in the positions to score. With some better finishing we could have nicked a point yesterday, which after 25 minutes sounds ridiculous. Ndidi didn’t help much, giving away a needless penalty and ducking out of a 50/50 with De Bruyne leading to their 3rd goal.
Wolves, West Ham and Everton are all must win games now, no room for silly mistakes and half hearted finishing.

Totally agree. Both Ndidi and Tielemans looked like they'd run a marathon just before the game started. No pace or energy. Just a few lazy and needless fouls from Tielemans masquerading as commitment. Thomas played well when he came on. Kristiansen looked a bit overawed by the situation.

Soyuncu brings more pace and energy ... as does Mendy ... would keep both in the starting XI ... need to get Maddison central and Iheanacho should be the starting central striker ...

A win at last and it looked like there was real energy in the side. Who were the stand-out performers?

Soyuncu deserves a lot of praise. To be frozen out for so long and then come back so strong now when it matters shows great professionalism. It would have been easy for him to just go through the motions. Rodgers had really got it so badly wrong over the last 12 months.

I’m wondering where Tielemans will be playing next season. From what I’ve seen recently no elite team will want him. Everything seems so sloppy and lacklustre from him now, don’t know if it’s a confidence thing or if he’s just counting down the days until he leaves. He shouldn’t be starting on recent form, and that includes before he was injured.

I'm still amazed KDH gets in front of Praet.

I've personally been impressed by KDH this season. For me, he's the one who most closely resembles Drinkwater or Kante from the title winning side ..... great energy in getting up and back and winning the ball and trying to move it quickly.

A little something to consider, which might seem rather out of left field, are Tielemans and Maddison currently weak links in what could be a more effective, fast moving team? Both Vardy and Daka play on the shoulder and need quick ball. Either one partnering Iheanacho might benefit from a faster midfield of KDH, Praet, Mendy, Soumare, Ricardo or Barnes. Is that what we need to help us get out of the relegation fight?

Extended highlights are available on the official club website ... had another look ... Soumare was a revelation - well worth watching the footage and focusing on him ...looks a completely different player ...

The other noticeable thing was the commitment of both Soyuncu and Faes ... both were brilliant in that regard ...

We seem to have a bunch of midfielders who all have different strengths. If he’s on his game Maddison is undroppable. I wouldn’t have paid Soumare in washers before Saturday but then he puts in a shift like that. KDH has an indefatigable engine which is priceless even if his passing and shooting are suspect. Barnes is top scorer, Mendy seems the best CDM. Who do you pick? How do you find the balance?

So glad we managed to get something out of the game last night. If we hadn't, Leeds would have been 4 points (2 games) in front of us.

I thought we played well, but fell short when we got in to the final 3rd, but when Daka and Vardy came on it gave us that little bit more in and around their penalty area.

I thought Barnes and Tete were never in the game and what a "goal" from Youri. No complaints about the 2 goals ruled out, as they were both clearly offside.

So relieved Iverson has got a big face and Bamford was more like Bambi on ice in the final minute.

Perhaps we deserved the 3 points, but with both sides close to pinching it at the end, I suppose it was a fair result....have I just contradicted myself there?!

Glad to see Praet get on ahead of KDH. I think he keeps the ball better and that is what we needed at that time in the game.

Doesn't look good for Iheanacho, so I would expect us to start how we finished against Everton., and this would keeps Madders more central where he is at his best, like he was last night...... We really do need to win this one.

I can't believe this is the same Soumare that I was previously lambasting for being slow and not getting involved. Just shows how wrong you can be. It has taken a new manager to bring out the best in him. And Soyuncu. We will miss Iheanacho, if he is out - and it didn't look good. He is the only forward we have who can receive the ball to feet and back to goal and retain possession. Those games against Newcastle and Liverpool look tough, with them both pushing for Europe, but we need to get something positive from Fulham and win the other 2 games.
