1. McLaughlin. Outstanding for me. Looks every inch a potential captain. 2. Slater. Great third goal. 3. Tufan. First goal absolutle class and it took balls to take the ball from Docherty and convert that 98 min penatly. I thought City were outstanding up to Seri losing his footing and them equalising. If Slaters shot had of gone in at one nil? Two minutes later and we are two one down. And some say Rosie's style of football is boring?
Slater - we're going to have to start acknowledging how important he is soon. A goal, an assist and a penalty win today. Traore - classy on the ball high up the pitch. Not many players do that. Tufan - just for the finishes really. I'd still like to see him be better in the buildup and not be shrugged off the ball so easily.
Slater. Probably the best I’ve seen of him. To maintain that level while being played in different positions took some doing. McLaughlin. Made defending look easy, never hurried. Tufan. Classy strike for his first, ice cold for the pen.
Hard call.... First half Traore by a mile... hardly seen second half... Overall... Macca.. he's very impressive, not at fault for any IMO... Slater... whilst he's not quick he never stops... Tufan... showed he had totally adapted to the Championship... and played 97.... And to not capitulate in front of 40k .... kudos to the all for keeping going...
It’s a hard choice, for once in a good way. 1.Tufan- Thought he was our most attacking player, first goal well taken, then the pressure of the penalty, great finish. 2. Traore - He’s huge quality, can’t believe he’s been playing for a few games & he’s impressed me more than any of the other “stars” we signed in the summer. Hopefully keep him fit next season & he’ll be a huge player. 3. Slater - Did everything asked of him, his goal was outstanding, did really well to keep it in & the finish was equal to that. The penalty, definitely a penalty, what the pundit at the end saying, “he’s won that,” was on about I have no idea. The rest, Darlow, some great saves, but was let down by the defence. Jones, I didn’t think it was a penalty, although he was pushing, pulling, before the player went down, but I don’t think there’s anything in it. McC did well, don’t think he put a foot wrong as far as I can remember. Greaves, nothing much done overall. Coyle, worked well down the right with Allahyar, who also did well, both disappeared a bit in the second half, but both had moments too with the goal for Allahyar. Pelkas, had a shot that lead to the second, didn’t see anything other than that from him, hopefully that’s the last game he plays before going back to where he came from. Malcolm impressed when he came on too, his pass lead to the penalty, so he’s probably starting on Monday.
Ive read some of the comments. And i know he gave it away a couple of times. But for me seri was superb. The goal they got after robbing him was a foul and the ref was ****e
I felt Doc held the ball to take pressure off Tufan . Their player was down in the box and play acting to try and make Tufan over think what he was going to do . Doc holding to ball and Ozan looking away from the goal helped . Anyway a great well placed penalty . Thought a draw was a fair result , but as you say If Slater had made it 2 nil ? We will never know . Slater - worked his socks off , and could have had more than that cracking goal . Traore - ran and ran , some nice passes . Tufan - played well and scored 2 Well done boys Come on City
Tufan - class Slater - £50k bargain of the century Sayyadmanesh - so much better down right compared to ineffective display on left last weekend. What a fabulous game. Some of our attacking play was astonishing. Gave them two goals, but they were v good in attack. Fair result and the last second equaliser felt like a win.
