I've put Joe in for a 1-3 win for Argyle: a couple of others have predicted that and Joe is usually on the gung-ho side when forecasting Argyle results. I've put his first goal time in as 9 minutes, the same as his last attempt.

We don't much fancy Ipswich at Derby: let's hope we're right. Most think Sheffield Wednesday will win: they need to as they have only one win in their previous 5.

    Jokers are well spread:

Some rather unexpected score lines limited the points tallies: Barnsley 5 - 0 Morecambe and Charlton 6 -0 Shrewsbury weren't predicted by anyone and only Sensible got points from Ipswich's win at Derby. There was another one which nobody got right but I've forgotten which, or at least I'm trying to.

Joe got the Webley goal time and owes me one. Top marks to Sensible then followed by me. I'm in a rich vein of mediocre results at the moment.

Away in BC stretches his lead and Sensible moves up one spot.

Next Round is on Friday, all at 3pm. Normal rules apply.

The fact that Lyndhurst has given a goal time against the MK Dons game suggests that could be his score prediction for the Argyle game. Oxford beating Sheffield Wednesday

Still, I'll put down what it says: MK Dons 1 - Portsmouth, with a nil return for Morecambe - Argyle for the time being, Oxford to beat Sheffield Wednesday.

    Over to you then Plym.......

Last week I put a score in for Joe who submitted an early forecast due to other commitments, which came in before I added the Wembley cup game to the league fixtures. This week, Lyndhurst has mysteriously omitted the Morecambe v Argyle game and has the excuse that he'll be on official duties for Argyle at the game! So I'm going to put him down for Morecambe 1 - 2 Argyle, 2-1's and 1-2's being his favourite combo.

I will try to give the arrangements for the upcoming round of matches earlier in future but please also check back if you can to make sure I haven't done something bizarre. It's always very possible. In that vein, there are 12 games on Monday, all 3pm kick offs usual rules but Bank Holiday double points.

    Moving back to today's games:

    upload_2023-4-7_11-2-8.png

An away win for Derby is the most strongly favoured (except by me, which is worrying).

Most of us have Exeter beating Bolton. I don't think that's just hard feelings from the Argyle contingent: Exeter have won their last 4 homes on the trot. Oxford on the other hand have lost their last 5 homes and regrettably I can't see anything other than a win for Sheffield Wednesday in that one. Conversely, Ipswich have dropped only 2 points in their last 6 homes and those were to Sheffield Wednesday. Although Wycombe have been going along quite nicely, it's hard to see them stopping Wednesday.

All of that means that Argyle need to win at Morecambe Morecambe have a win against Port Vale in their last six homes together together with a draw against Bolton but also heavy defeats by Charlton and Peterborough. It's a game we should win, even if our away form hasn't been great, and a game we must win.

    upload_2023-4-7_11-26-12.png

Barnsley to win a Burton Albion is a popular joker: I don't see it. Burton's recent home form is only 1 point less than Barnsley's away haul and it includes wins against Exeter and Wycombe. They don't score many and like us, when they lose, they tend to lose by a lot. We shall see....

Decent points hauls for Away, Lyndhurst, Plym and SMH and the rest of us nowhere although redeemed himself with the goal time: just 4 minutes adrift.
