VAR gets a lot of bad press but the last minute decision at Leicester last night was perfect use of it. Overturned a game defining decision that is much more aside to see on replay than in real time what actually happened .
Do we know how long ABK is even out for? Selles doesn’t seem to fancy Edozie either which is a shame as he has pace and skill. That he has no end product isn’t a reason for him to never be involved imo. It’s not like our other options have end product. His pace and trickery could be useful off the bench and at least he’s not afraid to take players on and try and make something happen.
This is what should have happened to West Ham on Sunday too, if only they'd been facing a half-competent opponent.
The officials in that match have done nothing to suggest they are getting any better at using VAR. Podence was accused of spitting and it was referred to the VAR assistant (Neil Swarbrick) who decided it didn't need to be reviewed. On TV it was as clear as day and now he is charged by the FA. What on earth was Neil Swarbrick looking at?
In school they teach the Water Cycle. But they leave out the bit about releasing thousands of bubbles into the system. Creates non stop soapy rain throughout all West Ham games
Easy to moan about us and our players, but what are West Ham doing in this mess. It they hadn’t beaten us, they’d be so screwed.
Since Isak has regained fitness, Newcastle's game has gone up a level. Pleased for them, their supporters and above all Eddie Howe, who since re-entering management after his sabbatical, has emerged as oñe of the most astute coaches in the modern game!
