Guys lets talk seriously for a moment about tactical approach again.

Our away form is in the absolute toilet. We seem to have not special way to play home or away but the players look scared to play forward away from home.

We seem to do the same things in pressing up but away from home the defenders look to be leaving too much of a gap to play in etc etc.

I just feel its high time for a serious tactical change. the gaps between the CBS and the lack of any midfield screen for example. If we just did that we would probably convert what?

3 or 4 losses into draws? leeds 0-1 (torrid) Forest away 0-1 (inexcusable) V bournemouth away (one break absolute ****), wolves away? absolute pig **** defensively.

the fact we have not way to score is a whole other issue but if you are not scoring anyway why not at least pull your heads in and be sound at the back with no gaps?

Last night i said hit the channels with runners and just by pass midfield, i called it dyche ball. the sad fact is we would probably do better exploint gthe height and running of Nunez and probably salah as well high up running this channels and draw the team up the park looking for set piece.

Our form is at present: DWWLLD, to be clear thats draw to palace away, beat wolves home, beat utd at home, loss to bournemouth away, loss to city away, draw to cheslea away.

If we were there still at palace we wouldn't have scored and we could be there for another month trying at cheslea and not create. Its all about inhibited, really poor offensive play away from home allied to massive gaps being left between players who are simply not supporting each other.

Everton under dyche: villa loss away, arsenal loss at home, Forest draw away, Brentford win at home, Chelsea draw away ,spurs draw at home LLDWDD

we are literally only 2 points better off than that pile of dung.

IMO we've thrown 7 points away through not being effective in attack at all. something must change.

There is no tactical approach. Klopp is clueless at the moment. There is no strategy, no plan, no idea. It’s absolutely atrocious

its the same plan without much change. thats the issue.

the same plan that requires high performance.

If we just went to basics and stood fabinho between the two CBs when we have the ball and had the full backs faces the right away wide at leas tthat would be SOMETHING. we wouldn't see teams running through us from miles out with no challenges.

teams are getting a field day off us.

Hark back to that leicester early goal first game back form world cup and how they basically ran through from own half totally unopposed cos matip was in RB slot.

Look at last night where kovacic got a chance. Totally unopposed run cos we chase up and theres one CB left on own with 30 yards either side of him.

We have learned NOTHING in 4 months. NOTHING.

even their first chance where feleix got it and was allowed turn in field. my god, you've him going wide and the worlds best keeper behind you. let him keep going wide. no, we commit ourselves to a hopeful block and let him inside to have a big chance. We've been doing that all year. let players come inside us and convert a low chance of a cross and shot into a major chance of shot and goal.

Look at klopp going mad about no pressure on crosses for city leading to goals and roll forward to james having the run of the park to cross all day with no effort to block. Tsimikas looked off his face at times and robertson came on and then sat into baox and never even attempted to get out and block anything.

same issues week in week out, but the same tactical plays. CBS miles apart hoping we don't lose the ball. RB at RW, CMS miles ahead of play, no real pressure on the ball and no real running off it as the pass is not coming anyway.

I'd rather see dyche ball than this. Just change it up

I won’t insult you by posting a compilation but here’s one, it’s masterful

And if you can spare a minute, check this one out. His vision for a forward pass is phenomenal...

Thing is Hendo has done a job that only Hendo can do and then the entire system has revolved around it.

If Hendo wasn’t vital to how we play we would not be having problems replacing him (and Gini to a large extent), it’s the same with Bobby - but he seems to generate more love than Hendo

my best mate cannot abide Hendo because of his hair !!!!
    Weird innit

You're right to say it's weird. Hendo's haircut is so inoffensive I hardly notice it - I had to pull up a pic just to remind me.
Given some of the ill-advised barnets many footballers suffer from it hardly seems noteworthy.
Setting aside the plain ridiculous ones, Phil Foden's hair annoys me for some reason. It looks like a glued-on rug.
Tbf, nothing short of a full head transplant could seriously improve the lad's looks, but the hair isn't helping.

lads, none of this resolves the tactical issues.

put thaigo back in and you've one more lad who can't run and won't track leaving the back 2 exposed.

this is seriously a tactic issue where changes in patterns of play will shut down the leaky back passage and honestly something must change then up top as having a 6' 3" monster out at lw with nobody in the box is just mentalist.

We shouldn’t be judging Thiago on his assists and goals. He’s integral to the build up play.

I didn't see where you put a time limit on it. Given that he's injured a lot and we're just over 3 months into this year, the videos I put up were bound to be from '22. He's a brilliant passer of the ball, it really can't be denied.

    On the Hendo Thiago thing
I like them both and Tbf I very rarely if ever pull a player
For me our system wrapped around Hendo

Thiago always felt like a square peg
He is an unbelievably good player but we seem to change to accommodate him
Now right now that might be what we need but the fecker is still injured lol
