Think it was more to do with Rodgers being 2 seasons past his use by date myself.

They have some interesting fixtures coming out and if they get someone like Rafa in im convinced they'll stay up.

Rafa? You really are mad.

Not saying it would be pretty, but he'd try and organise that defence and with the players like Tielemans, Maddison and Barnes able to hit teams on counter I reckon it would be effective. You have to forget Rafa's stint at Everton. That was doomed from before he even signed the contract.

I don't rate the fella at all, but I doubt he's even on their radar.

I'm not a massive fan of his either, but. He did organise our defence well and at least there was a game plan and a structure that he put in place quite quickly.

Stay solid at the back and then get it out to the wings and hit teams.

Think the players Leicester have currently are better than the crop he got with our lot.

They have a number of games with teams close to them coming up.

But......as Saf pointed out he failed with us and we believed it was because we left it too late.

He took charge when you were above the relegation zone and the week before the final weekend Newcastle were relegated by Sunderland. (Needed to get that in)

The bloke is well past his best now.

Not looking too good it's fair to say ... but the next run of games is against fellow relegation candidates, most at home... so our fate is very much in our own hands and, if we go down, it's what we deserve from the season... no point crying about it ...

I agree he's past his best, but we're not talking about Leicester needing an elite manager to lead them to trophies. They need someone to organise what they have for 9 games before overseeing a rebuild, before getting someone fresher in a couple of years when they're in a better place.

I’d have Sam Allardyce over Rafa in a relegation battle.

I agree ... doesn't have to be Rafa ... just someone to put more organisation in ... I'd be playing Vestergaard for a start .. with Iversen and Kristiansen the Danish connection should certainly help defensive communication.. plus Vestergaard is a pretty fine long range passer and we need to be putting Harvey Barnes in at every opportunity...

I can understand why, he did a job for you guys.

Rafa, however got us back up and then kept us there with small budgets.

Granted, I think some of his transfers were utter dog ****. <laugh>

No decent relegation dog of war type managers out there for Lesta imo

they in trouble

Everton got in the Ace

All you need is a manager who can come in and guarantee you a 35% win rate these days.

Much easier said than done like.

Nigel Pearson has managed Leicester before and probably would have kept Watford in the Prem. He could do a job.

maybe they should go for Bielsa

might as well try to out score the oppo every game gung ho their way to safety, they have a few players who have a bit of magic in them

better than parking buses hoping for a sneaky win every week and getting relegated anyway

Bielsa available and his replacement Marsch
Hassenhuttl available and his replacement Nathan Jones
Rafa Benitez available and his replacement Frank Lampard
Claude Puol available and his replacement Brendan Rodgers

Yeah probably the best option in the circumstances.

If they go for Bielsa and don't stay up, they could keep hold of him and have a pretty easy shot at coming right back up.
