How? How are they in the top 5, every time I've seen them this season they have been supursier than ever.
We've been 3 points from safety the past 3 or 4 matchdays now but unless we start winning (scrapping and fighting like the other teams) it's only going to widen now
We've been close to being cut adrift before but we somehow hanged in there but with these matches tomorrow and Wednesday and with us playing city on Saturday...a bit of reality is now kicking in that we're going down with a whimper
When you see all the other teams fighting to survive this hypothetical situation came to mind - If Everton and Man city do ever get kick out of the prem for ffp..we have no scoring ability and no fight/desire we will still just take 18th spot.....disillusioned

Tbh at this point there is no reason to get gutted about other teams results, we simply aren’t good enough to compete with those clubs and are going down entirely under our own steam.
I think this game really encapsulated our issues. A small defensive miscalculation combined with a keeper learning the ropes. Lots of hustle and bustle and work in the midfield but no attacking flair. Our strikers were a 35 year old up from who’s best years are nearly a decade ago, only on the pitch to balance out a young inexperienced bargain purchase. the more things have changed this season the more they have stayed the same. I say this with no lack of kindness. Just what I see.
Our goal difference basically means that we are currently 5 points from safety. Not sure by how much our GD will improve Saturday.
