Good Morning. It's Monday 3rd April, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

    Leeds outgunned at the Emirates

Arsenal kept the title hopes very much alive after a rousing second half performance against Leeds over the weekend; but things could have been very different had the Whites not gifted the Gunners the lead.

Leeds started brightly, and were by far the better team over the opening 30 minute, but then came disaster.
Attacking on the left hand side of a packed out penalty area, Gabriel Jesus turned Luke Ayling inside out, leaving the 31yo in a heap on the floor. Then came a moment of sheer madness, as he (Ayling) raised his left leg allowing Jesus to brush against it, before throwing himself to the floor.

The ref pointed to the spot, and Jesus himself dispatched the spot kick; their first strike on goal. Arsenal doubled their lead just after the Interval, after they caught Leeds napping at the back. Zinchenko linked up well with Martinelli, leaving Ayling totally exposed, deep on the left. He skinned the Leeds left back before firing a ball across the Leeds penalty area for the on-rushing Ben White to stab home from close distance, completely knocking the stuffing out of the visitors.

Trossard combined well with Jesus for the Brazilian to claim his brace on 55 minutes, before Leeds mounted a mini revival. Harrison showed his class with a fine run into the Arsenal penalty area. He tee'd up Kristensen on the edge of the 'D' (via a defection off Xhaka). The Dane found the back of the net via a defection off Zinchenko to give the Whites some hope. These aspirations were soon extinguished when Xhaka headed home with six minutes left to restore their three goal advantage.

To rub salt into the wounds, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and West Ham all picked up wins at the weekend, whilst Nottingham Forest and Wolves shared the spoils, leaving Leeds perilously close to the drop zone. Currently, only goal difference separates them from the bottom three.

Individual errors continue to cost Leeds

The amount of times individual errors have cost Leeds this season is becoming a joke, and there's no excuse for it! Whether it's a lack of judgement, a loss of concentration or a rush of blood, we are seeing opponents being gifted cheap goals on a regular basis! Ayling is in a long line of players who have cost Leeds points this season, and is happening on a more frequent basis.

Potter and Rodgers up for grabs

Graham Potter and Brenden Rodgers are both up for grabs!!!! Both Managers were dismissed at the weekend after Leicester City dropped deep into the relegation zone, and Chelsea recorded their tenth loss of their campaign, leaving them in the bottom half of the table.

Whilst Gracia has added some stability at Elland Road, many believe his tenure will not stretch to next season, and with two experienced Managers heading for the dole queue, Leeds have the opportunity to nab one of them now, prior to a busy Summer of rebuilding. With four losses, two wins and a draw from his opening seven games in charge, Leeds have given themselves a fighting chance of staying up, but with 26 points on the board will need to pick up at least another ten points from as many games if they are to remain in the top flight next season.

    Morning all.

Crappy weekend as we lost and probably dropping back into the relegation places tonight won't improve things.

    Tell me why...

Potter could be newLeicester manager later today. Nagelsman, Pochetino or even Rodgers could be the new Spurs manager or even Chelsea manager

Bookies still seem convinced we're going to be safe.

    3/1 before Arsenal
    11/4 after
3/1 again following West Ham winning.

    Saints 2/9
    Forest 10/11
    Bournemouth 1/1
    Everton 6/4
    Leicester 5/2
    Wolves 3/1
    Leeds 3/1

Will all change massively if we don't beat Forest tomorrow.

Why would Potter go in at Leicester now Doc ?

They're a club suffering from financial constraints with players wanting out in the summer. Potter would be wise to wait until at least the summer before accepting another role.

Maybe if he was offered the Spurs job he'd take it but Leicester is a big no no.

Anyway I'm happy with Javi, so let's let others worry for a change <ok>

I think Potter will wait until the summer, this job as beat him on a personallevel, big effect on his family too, may just want to recharge his batteries, besides not sure Spurs fans want another Chelsea cast off.

The way we play, we have heavy reliance on our wing backs, and unfortunately, they're just not good enough

Saturday was an irrelevant fixture, nothing to learn from it except we play in a different league to Arsenal despite what some might believe. Ive no idea how good Javi is but will have a fair idea 4pm Sunday. Anything less than 4 points this week is no use. Get all six and he's set for a knighthood

If we can't get four then it had better be three and those have to come against Forest.

Draw tomorrow and then we have to win Sunday.

Lose tomorrow and then you may as well cancel your trip <yikes>

    Good morning,

I don't think Potter would take a job this season but I really can't understand the hype around him.

Swansea - Finished 10th with one of the promotion favourites after they had just been relegated. The seasons after he left Steve Cooper took them to 6th and 4th.

Brighton - Finished 15th, 16th and 9th. That's one good season and two that were on par with the ones before he arrived. They're now a top six side without him so you have to wonder how much credit he took from that one season is more down to Brighton's good recruitment.

Chelsea - Took one of the biggest spenders in the world to the bottom half of the table. I know throwing money at random players doesn't always work, but you'd still expect them to at least be competing near the top.

In short, every team he's ever been at have improved considerably after he left and you would imagine Chelsea will be the same.

    Morning all

Potter's sacking was weeks in the making. I said that he would only last a year when Tuchel was fired from Chelsea back in September. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if Spurs go in for him as they tried to get him a couple of years ago but Brighton said no. Conte was right when he said Spurs have no ambition. As for the Leicester job that could be anyone's They had Rodger's for 4 years and he was tipped for the Arsenal job a few years back. If Moyes gets fired in the next couple of weeks and let's be honest West Ham are underachieving this season compared to other seasons I think we could be a good shout for Leicester.

Having Sinisterra leading the line just didn't work, though resting Rodrigo for Tuesday may be a master stroke. We'll know by 10pm tomorrow.

I thought Sinisterra did ok considering it was his first start for ages. And let’s face it he was no worse than Bamford’s been in that role lately.

Plus he got some more much needed minutes under his belt towards being fully match fit in a game we were never likely to get anything from.

As Gnonto’s out it’ll be important to have Sinisterra firing on all cylinders for the six pointers coming up.
