Got to question O’Learys thinking and position for their equaliser too He was caught in no man’s land
Fan trouble before the game? We don’t traditionally have problems with Reading - do we? https://fanbanter.co.uk/bristol-cit...y-wrexham-and-oldham-lads-have-it-out-on-bus/
Having been away all weekend, I have just seen the highlights. Our final ball and ability to finish is killing us, and has been for weeks. So many good chances went begging in this game again, then we get sucker punched by Reading. We need a CB fit again soon, as well as Pring has done at LB, he is no CB, and was at fault again for the Reading goal. He has no positional sense as a CB, and is caught out almost every game at the moment. No issues with the 2 goals ruled out as offside against Wells, and but for some great covering from Zak, we could have gone 1 down when their striker (who looked a mile offside) rounded Max and got his shot on target.
Supcon I agree we need a CB, 2 if Kalas leaves. Your criticism of Pring is unfair, OK he's no CB but I can't admire him more for his efforts. I will never understand why Pring was designated to mark Carroll, surely if Vyner has any use it's his physique. You've seen the highlights, your thoughts on 1min 28secs ? Vyner will have thanked Pring for his 'positional sense'. Very disappointed for the defence collectively for falling for the same trick on their goal - it was a training ground routine blocking off Pring. Have a look at 4min 34secs, identical to their goal. Max didn't cover himself in glory for the goal either. As for Vyner covering, I grant you the Reading player looks off but the Lino was in the best position. Vyner's protestations smacked of 'let's blame the Lino, it was ME keeping him on'.
He was offside, I could see that from the Dolman. Plus Vyner was marking that other giant they had in their team. Did you see the size of that defender?
