https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/statement-rotherham-united-vs-cardiff-city No surprise there then.... complete whitewash of the situation and completely disregards the pathetic "attempts" by the ground-staff up there to do anything meaningful. What odds on key players picking up injuries now because of fixture congestion??
No surprise; an absolute whitewash as BB states. There’s nothing that can be done other than go up there and stuff them
No surprise but shocking in terms of Rotherham sticking their heads up their ar$es - where there was probably no rain - ignoring any weather forecasts, worsening the position by not shutting off the half time sprinklers and employing only 3 (alleged) groundstaff (incompetent) who thought it was more fun to try to push water back on to the pitch. And the EFL claim to manage the 5th or 6th best supported league in Europe. Absolute shambles. Where is there any accountability?
Tan to pay for our travel but not easy for many with a night game, there was over 1,400 up there on the day. Rotherham should give us all free tickets.
Game #44 - Rotherham Away Part 2 - Return to Waterworld - The Bluebirds Revenge So, here we are again.... deja vu anyone? Our return to the New York swimming pool sees us take on the Millers again in a crunch relegation battle that could go some way to easing either sides relegation fears. Having been leading 1-0 and totally in control of the tie just a few short weeks ago before its abandonment, the Bluebirds will be keen to make an equally good start this time around. As we all recall, despite mammoth efforts from the Rotherham "groundstaff", the likes of which we've not seen since Boris Johnson's efforts to avoid social gatherings at No10 or the Scouse community's efforts to find jobs once they started receiving benefit payments, the ref had little choice but to halt proceedings 1st time around. Since that abandonment Rotherham, with the aid of some of their better players returning have managed to pick up a little form, with a win and 3 draws in their last 6 games giving them 6 points from their last 18 on offer. The Bluebirds own form is also quite similar with 2 wins and a draw giving us 7 points from the last 18 on offer, though our away form over the last 6 has seen us pick up 3 wins, so hopefully that will help provide the team some additional confidence to go on top of the morale boosting win at Watford plus the come back from behind against Stoke at home on the weekend. Whilst that was a game which the City should have won we also avoided defeat and picked up another valuable point along the way. At this stage of the season there are no such things as bad points on the board! Early Bluebirds Team News It's a little early yet for anything official but 'keeper Ryan Allsop is a serious doubt after picking up an injury during Saturday's game v Stoke and is likely to be replaced by Jak Alnwick. I'd also anticipate Jaden Philogene coming back into the starting 11 for this one, especially after he picked up the opening goal during our previous visit. Callum O'Dowda continues to improve since his return to the starting line up after injury so is also likely to retain his place. As a "must not lose" game, and given their effectiveness against Watford as a unit, I wouldn't be surprised to see Rinomhota come back in at the expense of Romaine Sawyers who appeared to have an off-day again on the weekend. Prutton & Co Predict To be honest, at this stage of the season, who cares???? There aren't any predictions up yet and I can't see me going back in to check tomorrow if truth be told. The bookies have us as very marginal favourites though; Home Win 9/5 Draw 2/1 Away Win 17/10 Fun Fact Did you know that Rotherham's New York Stadium is the only stadium in the world that also doubles up as a water-park, treble Olympic size swimming pool and haven for slackers that masquerade as grounds-people? Did you also know that Rotherham United FC also recently took part in an experiment to see if adding more water to a rain sodden pitch at half time via the sprinkler system would help make the pitch dry and playable?? Rotherham gaffer Matt Taylor readies his substitutes for the 2nd half in the abandoned game Just a note in case it hadn't been noticed but this replayed fixture is also live on Sky on Thursday evening, so clearly the TV bosses think there should be ample interest and needle in the fixture to warrant screening it. Well, it's either that or they just couldn't bring themselves to put Spurs and Everton's armchaire fans through any more misery than they've already been through this season. So, can the Bluebirds make it 3 wins out of 3 this season against the Millers having beaten them home and away already? Will justice prevail, allowing the Bluebirds to be home and dry this season?? Will Smoochie be giving his team his Aesseal of approval as we walk away with a deserved victory??? All I know is, if there is any kind of justice in this footballing world then we'll cruise to a comfortable victory and deservedly sink the Millers back into the relegation scrap. Blooooooooooobirds!!!!!
Brilliant as ever BB. Love the final summary. VT providing free umbrellas for all Bluebirds fans attending. 700 tickets sold as at earlier today. Would be good to make a round 1,000 at least. BT is going so that sorts out the round bit.
