Woah there horsey! Previous round not scored and you’ve submitted for the next!

Let’s do the Argyle v Bolton game too as it’s between 2 teams in our league, with goal time.

Treble points as a Wembley special! I missed Lyndhurst’s early entry so if he can’t supply a score due to club duties, I’ll put him down for the most popular amongst the rest of us, which’ll be a win for Argyle obvs.

Is there extra time at Wembley ?....or straight into penalties......or as we used to do score after 90mins counting?

Let's do it to the end of extra time if there is any.

Right, so having checked yet again in case SMH submitted unnaturally early (ring any bells?), I can't see that he submitted a forecast. Given that top score was one point, he didn't really miss much.

    upload_2023-3-30_8-5-56.png

Unsurprisingly, there's no impact on the table.

There are 10 League 1 fixtures on Saturday with Bolton and Argyle being otherwise occupied.

We will add Bolton v Argyle in the Papa Johns final on Sunday. It is Bolton v Argyle not the other way around as Bolton have won the toss on the home changing room. We will predict the score at the end of extra time (if there is any) but before penalties. Please provide a first goal time. You can deploy your joker on any of the games.

    There will be treble points.

I will consider (very briefly) giving quadruple points to anyone who says "I think the Papa Johns Trophy is an excellent competition and I particularly enjoy the participation of the EPL Under 13's. I am looking forward to watching the game on my Sky Sports subscription, which I believe to be the biggest improvement to football since the invention of the ball". No fins mind you, I'll be able to tell.

There is extra time if required....and a penalty shoot-out also if needed.

Not a chance notdistant but I will be watching it at a Hostelry in my vicinity. The football gang have decided that as we haven't had a match for a bit we miss pints and crisps.

We're all in except MustyFrog. Lyndhurst has added a prediction for the Wembley game but Joe hasn't. If he isn't able to add one by kick off on Sunday, I'll put him down for an Argyle win with the same goal time he used in the previous match. Joe never predicts anything but an Argyle win, so that's a no brainer.

It's just occurred to me that the goal time could be anything up to 120 minutes if you firmly believe it'll go to extra time via a 0-0 after 90 minutes, I don't suppose anyone wants to do that but jus sayin. By the same token Plym, you submitted very early and are predicting a draw for the game, which would be at the end of 120 minutes. In other words, you are predicting it'll go to penalties. Is that what you intended? Nothing wrong with that, just checking.

As promised, I have very briefly reviewed the statements form those pledging life-long allegiance to the Papa Johns Trophy and to Sky Sports and decided not to award quadruple points as you knew I would. I'm gratified to hear that Sensible will be watching the game though, albeit in a bar and I suspect in disguise. If you see a Pilgrim Pete lookalike on the streets on Sunday, that'll be him.

I don't need a disguise. I only said I'm going to watch it and where but didn't add I will of course be tutting for a minimum of 90 minutes. When Argyle lift the trophy (notice I didn't call it a cup) I may offer a small cheer or on the other hand I may just sit in silence.

No you won’t. We both have valid reservations about this tournament but now we’ve got there, we want them to win it for the players and staff. It’s a chance for them to play in front of nearly 40,000 Argyle supporters and that’s something special.

So having said no to going (and we may still have to go through the play-offs) I’ll be in full match mode on Sunday and so will you!

Not really 40,000 green supporters notDistant.

When I went to the disastrous Wimbledon play-off final I bought 4 tickets....two were my son and grandson and one more for my sons mate....plus mine.

So that was two Charlton ST holders....one Harlequins rugby follower....and then me an Argyle fan.

I would think that would be repeated time and time again within that 40,000 following.....a number of those would be going just for a day out at Wembley and to sample the exorbitant cost of food and drink there.
